The mavs would need a lot more then to trade for smith as the 1st are both likely going to be in the 20s

Yeah it’s two much. How about Stanley Johnson in Atlanta? He’s been a disappointment so far in his career but I think he can be good player

I'm not exactly sure what his ratings / potential are after recent updates. I know in mine he is a solid role player and only asked for 7 million after his rookie deal was up. He can't score, but on the right team could start. I'm not sure the pistons roster / record is for you, but a deal around one of the non Atlanta 1st might work. If they are in the playoff race give them some depth on good contracts. If your not high on Price that would be a pretty even swap.

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread

I started an Expansion MyLeague with the Seattle Super Sonics after the Trade Deadline Roster came out. The other team is the Kansas City Knights.

After having a good stretch of 3 wins in a row I am tied for last place with the Suns, so I decided to blow it up and build around my young players.

I tried to be as realistic as possible with the goal of getting draft picks in return for my veteran players.

What do you think of these trades?

              1.
              Sonics trade: Thabo Sefolosha
Wizards trade: Jason Smith / 2020 1st round pick lottery protected

The Wizards are 9th in the East, only 1 win back. So I figured they could use some veteran backup to make a push. They are getting rid of Smith and his player option for 5 mil next year.

              2.
              Sonics trade: Javale McGee
Warriors trade: Damian Jones / 2020 2nd round pick

Depth at Center for the Warriors, young player + pick for me.

              3.
              Sonics trade: Nik Stauskas
Rockets trade: Tarik Black / 18 2nd rounder from the Heat(currently 3rd in the East)

After this trade the Rockets are still stacked at Center with 3 players rated 77 and higher. With Stauskas they add another 3 point threat to their system.

              4.
Sonics trade: Milos Teodosic / 2021 2nd rounder
Pelicans trade: Alexis Ajinca / 2021 1st rounder

The Pelicans are 3rd in the East and making a run. However backup Point Guard was an issue after losing Rondo in the Expansion draft.

              5.
              Sonics trade: Mike James
Nuggets trade: Tyler Lydon / Monte Morris

Lyndon was buried as 5th Power Forward, Morris was in the G League. Mike James will share the backup Point Guard Duty with Devin Harris. Denver is 5th in the West.

              6.
              Sonics trade: Patrick Patterson
Kings trade: Bruno Caboclo / 2020 Detroit 2nd rounder

Z Bo went down with an injury for 6 weeks, leaving the Kings front court with 4 active players.

Looking to make some trades for the Hornets to clear some bad contracts. About to start the 2018 draft

                Kings get Batum + 2019 1st (top 5 protected)
                Hornets get Justin Jackson

Willing to give up a future first to move Batum. Kings don’t have 2019 pick and will be aiming to be more competive plus they have a lot of cap space. Jackson is a flyer on a young player I think the Kings would be okay with moving on from him.

                Mavericks get Howard
                Hornets get 2019 1st (top 10 protected)
We move Howard’s expiring contract and get an asset back. The Mavs have the top pick in the 2018 draft and I believe they will be aiming for a short rebuild. A team of Smith, Doncic, Barnes, Nowitzki, Howard plus a ton of cap space should see them be more competitive.

Any advice on if these are realistic would be great. I would also like to move Zeller and Williams is anyone had any ideas

Others on here might be able to give u a better opinion but form my perspective they all look realistic. The only one I would change is the first trade where I can’t see the Wizards trading a first round pick for Sefolosha even if there getting 5 mil of the books. But other that all look really good

If I am the kings I in general i would eat that contract to get the 1st round pick they lose next year. The issue is with it being 2019 and top 5 protected you could be looking at pick in the teens or non lottery (since its a user team). If the picks ends up say in the 20's then the Kings would lose out big time.

Doing a 30 team control (32 now that I've expanded by two teams) in year 2, and wondering, theoretically, what does an Andrew Wiggins trade look like?

I get that it's unlikely mainly because this has been a bit of a down year statistically for him and his contract is huge, but if the T-wolves were looking to free up some cap space to take a run at someone who may be a better fit, what would need to be moved for him?

Was thinking possible destinations could be (but not limited to) Utah (to pair up with Mitchell), the Kings (because why not?), one of the expansion clubs (One has plenty of cap space, but also Michael Porter Jr. starting at SF), the Knicks or the Nets.

                      Thanks!

If your looking at a straight salary dump any of the teams you mentioned would pay him. I would also take him in Atlanta to team up with Schroder, Collins and they should have another promising rookie from the last draft. The Knicks would be interesting also

                            Hi guys,
started a MyLeague with the latest (3/17) roster update and Start Today feature, simmed the remainder of the season and took the reins of the Hornets.

We've closed 6 or 7 wins shy of the last playoff spot and now we have an horrible cap situation.
No chance to improve via free agency and no chance to get a playoff spot in '18-'19 so it's time for a hard rebuild.

I'll probably trade Howard during the season but no teams have assets for me right now (I'm before the draft).

                            Now, what about this:
Kemba Walker (85, 28yo) to the Pacers
                            FOR
                            Domantas Sabonis (78, 22yo, B Pot), Pacers '18 1st (#23)

                            Reasoning:
Kemba wants to test free agency next summer and he probably will pick a win-now team.
He is 28, currently a Top8 PG, and he still has at least a couple if not three more years as a Top 10/12 in the game but probably it's too much to wait (for me) if I go in a deep rebuild mode.
Pacers finished 4th East last year and collapsed vs a strong Raptors team in the Conf Semis: with Oladipo (89) and Turner (82) they can have an extremely solid veteran in Kemba, very cheap for the 18/19 (12.50M) to try a win-now mode also because they have plenty of cap to work with from 19/20 to establish a dynasty.
They also can cut ties with Collison (80) and save another 10M in team option.

I get a starting PF with good potential and at least 8 seasons before declining, plus a low 1st.
Pacers can retain Young (78, still decent as a starter) and maybe even Booker (75) to cover the gap at PF.

                            Thoughts?

                              Thoughts?
Howard is on the last year of his deal and not sure what his rating is but he is once again quietly having a solid year so his rating should be low 80ish. You could always flip him for another contract that last a year longer and pick up a worse contract.

I would attach a bad contract with Kemba before you trade him as he is your best trade asset.

                                Guy's I have a couple of questions....

I'm at work so can't check myself...could someone with current rosters, check the trade finder for me??

I'm thinking of starting with the Cavs (I'm a Lakers fan who always like using Clarkson and LNj) and move them (maybe to cincy) and rebuild

What's the value for LeBron, and love (separately) in the trade finder?

And also what's real life realistic trades for those Guy's?

                                Thanks for any input 👍
