See, I disagree with the move you made being the 'right' move....first fake got him up, second move was right into his body....I would have move the stick downward after the move to finish with the opposite hand.

I dont know if the body causing the block is definitely the right answer but I dont really agree with you going through him being the right answer either.

I definitely have to dissagree there is no control man, I think the finishing hand is really responsive this year.

If I get Haslem up here, I'm finishing the opposite way.

There are some things I think the defender gets rewarded with unfairly as far as post defense but I dont think this is one of them. I rarely get body blocks.

I'm telling you I moved my right stick down right. In real life my guy would pivot moving his left foot away from the defender and finish with my right hand. Instead the animation makes me step left into the defender. That is my whole point. The animation made me go that way. I'm not trying to go into his body I'm stepping through which is a legit move.

Thank you 24th for the video. I thought I recorded one.

But like his video you have to wait. Or go up with the"right" hand. You can also do the "Kobe" if the player has the animation.

This should definitely be foul. But like I said they definitely tried this. And it became cheese fest. Eventually the user would jump. And they would press forward for the and1 contact foul.

I agree. This is such a cheap way to play defense. Defenders aren't penalize enough when leaving their feet in the post. If anything, the body blocks encourage excessive jumping. I don't even use up and unders anymore because there a chance you can get blocked without shooting the ball.

The impression I have is that you can get blocked in your case too.

The pump fake blocks are not constant - that is an exaggeration but they are moreso almost random so even with your move being considered "the ideal goto move", there are cases where the outcome could still end in a "hanging fall-thru block"

I don't see the error on his part. It's like shooters going into the defender and drawing the shooting foul. We know this is common with the Association. He didn't travel, his footwork may not be A1 in the textbook opinion of post gurus but that's got to be a shooting foul. The defender here in OPs clip had to rip thru homies arm to dislodge the ball. That man's steal or blocking prowess can't be what's praised here.

The pivot foot and where the defender jumps will all dictate the finishing oportunities available and where the defender lands so each case is unique. I don't see the user fault here for the offensive player. The offensive player should be at least drawing a foul here or be allowed to clip thru the defender and finish as he intended. He should be given this videogame leeway but to give the defense a clean block is plainly cheap.

Maybe I watching a different clip. I agree with Jeebs and 24th. To me, it looks like the player tried to start a finishing move on the same said as the defender.

EDIT: The correct stick input would have been 1 or 2 o'clock respectively.

It really reminds me of when do first started learning how to post, I'd have it in my mind that I was going to do an up and under....fake the guy in the air and end up with my face in his stomach from predetermining my second move, lol

As far as the post game in 2k18 goes..faking, getting the guy in the air then finishing according to where he is has worked for me. I actually like the science to it- check the post game thread...I love the fake game.

I'm gonna agree with Jeebs & 24th here. The post game requires a lot more specific inputs this year. Your player doesn't automatically make the sensible move and initially that was annoying, but eventually I practiced it and learned just how advanced the RS is in this game. There are 8 directions to move it in and they all have different results, not to mention the modified actions when you mix in the LS or turbo.

I rarely ever get blocked anymore and when I do, it feels less like I'm being cheated, and more like I just made the wrong move. PRACTICE the new post game and get used to different players as well. I know based off my time running through all the Domination modes, I prefer certain finishes with Jokic that I don't particularly care for with Aldridge. Last year it didn't really seem to matter as much.

I have no issue with body blocks. It's for balance....if not then it will be nothing but canned animation dunk fest inside. Hands up don't works since it's an unbreakable animation. I should know since I play a rim protector.

I hardly get those body blocks since I use hands up defense when inside. I actually would like to get more of those body blocks if anything lol
