I guess there's another update coming later today ("slight buff to layup success")

Is there an actual like patch coming out or is it just one of those in game updates?Comment

Don't do it Mike!!!EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Damn shame they’re starting this again already. I’m praying this doesn’t affect offline gameplay. The CPU already hits wide open shots at a high enough clip.

Re: I guess there's another update coming later today ("slight buff to layup success"
As people improve at the game, shot and layup success become easier. I don't understand making it easier with an update or tweak...this is not a legitimate issue like on the ball defense and interior defense have been (they did address interior defense which is a lot better IMO).Comment

So...Essentially...My guy should now be untouchable. Buffing his layups, which is the only thing I miss consistently if contested, and buffing greens, so my 66 in 3pt should be lights out in the corner.

Re: I guess there's another update coming later today ("slight buff to layup success"
I am taking the blindsman high road and stating the shot timing was off. Hopefully, some of those good releases that were bricks are now greens, and that the good and slightly late or early shot releases keep the success rate realistic. If this is not the case, then this is 100 percent terrible.
Hopefully its when and how as opposed to more.Psn: Alabamarob

Re: I guess there's another update coming later today ("slight buff to layup success"
I was just asking if there was a buff to layups or if people just got better...and this confirms it...people actually took the time to learn timing and got better......and now we're buffing it.....as well as shooting. Smh.
If Mike does this he needs to tone down fouls on contests man, or buff contests at the rim altogether.....seriously....how do we protect the rim?

How do the casuals always win? You're in ESports for goodness sakes, skill should be what matters the most! I have a feeling the best exploiters will be represented in the tournament again and not the best players. You guys get flamed every year when the pro-am championship game is a cheesefest, but you're all but ensuring that will happen again.

Re: I guess there's another update coming later today ("slight buff to layup success"
They(2k) do all this talk about stick skills mattering but then they make the game super casual. When they say stick skills matter, its more like OP momentum defying dribble moves matter, but bball iq not required.PSN: UVE_HAD_ENOUGHComment

I wish Mike Wang would claim to change gameplay in some way but not actually do so, just to see the placebo effect.
