because someone buying this for the four day early release has terrible impulse control. i mean, how bad do you have to be to pay an extra forty bucks for something you can have four days later. i just think it'd absolutely ridiculous unless you're a teenager. even if i were a millionaire i still wouldn't do it just for the principle.

Then I think its clear the value isnt there for you. And probably most people. But the value or want, for some, is such that theyll jump on it. If you want something, buy it. It's only worth what you're willing to pay for it. I don't pass judgments on how people spend their money or on what they spend it on. Lord knows I have my "stupid splurge" money pits.

Lol 100 bucks is nothing. The most I paid for getting nba2k a week earlier was about 100 bucks as well. This was 2k12 or 2k13....not sure anymore. Plenty of people were coping it for 200 to 300 on ebay.

I gotta be honest I would pay 100+ if this versions street date were broken. Can't beat that feeling of getting it even earlier lol

i don't mind paying 100 on this game due to 4 days early access because i want play My League with rebuilding team i choose.. My League is best mode ever i playing

But heres the thing, your not actually getting it 4 days early. This 4 days early thing is a marketing gimmick. September 7th is the release date, they have just decided to hold the standard version back 4 days. Why do you think Live 19 releases the 7th as well ? Its because thats the date the NBA gave both companies for release. They are charging you an extra $40 to get the game the same date you would have always gotten it. I dont have an issue with anyone spending their money how they want, I have an issue with 2K using shady tactics to get an extra $40 out of everyone. Last year you could get the standard version the same day as the more expensive versions.

I understand peoples concern over this but really what company doesn't cut corners or exploit ways to get more money out of the consumer? I know 2k looks like they are all about the money lately and hell any of us would be if we got the same results in years prior, but the real frustration comes in when you have an issue with a company but you still support that company by buying their product whether its the standard of the special edition if you buy it you are supporting the company you have an issue with, changes only come when money stops flowing in.

I see no problem with this, If you want it early you pay extra. I understand years past but with time things change. This is an option like everything else in life. Just like when you go to a car dealership they have different models and different price ranges.

People who preordered last year were able to play a few days earlier than the people who didn't. If you wanted to play early you preordered. This year, it's people who get the Anniversary Edition. What's the problem?

I wouldn't blame 2k at all, it's obvious they can get much more extra money just be offering the same exact game 4 days earlier, they don't have to do anything, they just have to make sure people get the game a few days earlier and people will be paying money with what they could buy a whole other new game, kudos to 2k.

I'm LMAO at the people who are trying to criticize others for spending their money how they want.

I want the anniversary edition out of my admiration for LeBron and the 2K series as a whole. I'm glad it makes me a "bad" person for spending money on something I want.

The same people hating on 2K are gonna be the same ones who buy the game in September and come on this forum and moan and complain about it all year. Hilarious.

Why don't you ask the people who pay $800 to $1200 to play Call of Duty early?

We've seen people on this very site sell those games for that much money and we don't need the pocket watcher patrol trying to tell people what to do.

People do what they want to do with their money, why do you care?

They are doing the same thing with WWE2k19, probably a decision by higher ups at 2K to give more incentives to paying for the more expensive edition of the games.

I'll never understand that, it's not food that you can't live 4 days without it, I mean you can even live more than 4 days without food, but you get my point. Maybe I'm just more patient, I mean isn't there some other stuff you can do just for 4 days before you can get the game on much lower price.

Hell I'd pay 100$ for an EA college football or 2K college hoops game, period. Easily. Given the logic of some people here I'm sure there's something wrong with that too. I'd be a sap for buying, the company providing the product I want at I price I'm willing to pay would be being greedy.

I'll be waiting to see if it's worth my time. This year was the one year where I was disappointed with the game; the defense is complete garbage, with A+ 3pt shooters being left completely wide open in the corner by the AI defender.

Shooting was odd this year, with defenders only having to within your vicinity (not necessarily in front of you) to affect your shot. Layups likewise were garbage with basically nobody being able to hit a contested layup, I think this is because they made layups timed but didn't give a shot meter for it making it inordinately hard to get layups down for guys with lower ratings.

Not to mention the blow by animation...

The only decent addition was the city in mycareer, but I don't really like that mode so meh. Hopefully they can show some improvement in these areas.
