Just to tag along with your video, I've had decent success with jab steps and pump fakes against the CPU. However, I do agree with simnation that is has to be a little more effective against the CPU on HOF.

I've found it is most successful once you get the defense moving and out of place after running a set/play. Example: Run a floppy set with E. Gordon and the defender gets caught on the screen. He gets the pass while the defender is still a step behind and pump fakes. I'll get the defender bite MUCH MORE as he is trying to close out. Same goes with the triple threat and jab steps; after the defender is trying to get into his stance and closing out I have a much greater chance of the move being effective...

Anybody else noticing this against the CPU?

Lol! Subtle but can’t argue at least a reaction... Man, now your going to make me post the video of me doing it for 45 seconds (no exaggeration) with no reaction. I tried it for 30 minutes and didn’t get that at all... lol Tell me you agree it could be better implemented though? I still think like the guy who pulled off the crab dribble more of an anomaly...

You should do PR for the Seattle PD. Ha. You saw the video, but said it was an anomaly.

thx 4 the vid. can't believe u got that reaction so fast (into ur testing). i've had the worst luck, or it's some variable that's making it happen.

i can't even remember if i still have 18 installed. if i do, i'll do a video as well. not prove who's right and who's wrong, lol... but just to add to the discussion i guess.

I agree with you all that the Jab step should be better. However, i think they need a triple threat rating. I dont want every good athlete being MJ in the triple threat.

I need to look. It is an.updated roster with all old players with end of year ratings. I dont like the juiced up ratings of some rosters. I am a modest man at heart. Ha

I still check in sometimes. Haven't been able to play as many video games since my daughter was born, but I still throw in nba 2k when I get some rare free time. I'm way behind on my video games. Still haven't gotten around to 2k18 (2k17 is the one I still play). Just don't have the time to play these days so I can't keep up like I used to. Still a big 2k fan though.

I agree. I still remember you and i debating broken shot releases. Haha. We found out that game speed and release speed and diff level affected it. Kyle Korver was the case study.

I agree with your synopsis on getting the cpu while moving.

This garbage absolutely makes me sick to my stomach man. And it's unstoppable because shooting is so overpowered that they can't send help or else you give up 3 instead of 2.

The opposing team never heard of a rotation? Corner man drops to help. Wing drops to corner. Top drops to wing. Etc... It isnt that hard to rotate. Ha.

I think my issue with the triple threat not biting is that it isn't as exaggerated as it should be in most cases. I hate having the defender draped all over me in the triple threat, and I jab step, only to have them transition back into smothering defense. Almost like the 2 players are connected. It's a 2 player animation, but some of these players shouldn't be smothering you like Prime Gary Payton. Heavier footed defenders, the triple threat moves should have a greater effect.

And everyone shouldn't be able to ride you without repercussion. The psychic AI kills me. It's literally a 1:1 reaction, on stepback jumpers etc. There should be a half second time lapse before there's a reaction.

Cpu reaction time should have been a slider a long time ago.
