Not everyone who plays online is going for nba jam style .
I like player player locked games online . Working together as a team. That can be just as Sim as player 1 V1 with A.I assistance .#1 Laker fan

Re: Simnation are y'all still around?
But, my point about the different settings within each difficulty is something I would like to see 2K address. I felt like those Arcade, Normal and Simulation settings older games had actually did work, and allowed people to further tailor the game to fit their specific needs.
Of course, I'd still like the option to choose which patch/tuner you want to use when playing games, but that's not likely to happen anytime soon.Currently Playing:

Looking back, I'm not sure why I quoted that post from you, lol.

Getting those players to understand the game of basketball is key priority then that other stuff later. There is no reason the game shouldn't be made to punish trash cheesing tactics ala street ball vs team ball

Re: Simnation are y'all still around?
Is Mike Wang in charge of all gameplay as far as the out of box sliders and the tweaks made throughout the year for online with balancing the gameplay? Is he the one who coordinates with the roster ratings in specific areas to balance the game to where he wants it to be? Serious question... Is this a 1 man show? Is this why we need to take all these things up with Mike? I hear people say Wang’s name with the shot meters and all the complaints every year with the shot contest system or what justifies this or that result. Now I hear we need to take all these gameplay things up with Mike. These always seem to be the things we don’t like too...
Anyways, The reason I ask is he had put a post on twitter a few days ago talking about the 3 different tiers of ball handlers that would get you specific dribbling skills/animations that unlock at certain number ranges in ball control attribute ratings. I have said this before, but if you dive deep in the ratings or tendencies you can see where there were issues in the game that people had that were all fixable within what they give us. It seems like the areas complained about carried through most all modes as well. Obviously offline we have sliders we can adjust. In online leagues we can also adjust these sliders. I get there needs to be some give in some areas to work as intended and that need to be coordinated to get said result. I also get the time aspect and some areas need to catch up to others. I know it’s been said that the inside game was nerfed last year. There was no fix nor was it talked about all year. How was this nerfed though? Was it through global ratings? One of the things I noticed and changed immediately (scaled way up) was the standing layups and close range shots as to me they were way too low league wide which made me think that’s how they partially went about it nerfing the inside game? Was this nerfed in this way for the online crowd yet effected all modes? Another thing I hear is the sliding and skating rather then footplanting yet again tho is fixable in rosters without all new game engines, etc. I also get some don’t want all that though. But who makes the decision? I’d be curious if it was all done properly if overall the consensus would be positive with all 2k players? Wouldn’t they adjust? It’s kind of the same thing with madden this year with all 22 RPM (real player motion/footplanting) and them saying “you will need to retrain your brain and relearn how to run the ball without turbo”. Bottom line don’t cater to the casuals, kids, twitter gang, etc when it comes to making tweaks to a game. The more realistic and real life they can get any and all aspects I think the better all 2k modes become.
Does this hold the game back? Does beds not have as much freedom to properly rate players and properly rate rosters? Do other devs get handcuffed? Is this where 1 opinion is the one all be all? Maybe it’s time for a change?
