Some great stuff in this, I especially like the historical draft classes. Although it seems like create a court and jersey creating wasn't a priority for them this year which is a huge shame.

I don't know if anyone else noticed but Erick avoided SO MANY questions in the video. It was actually starting to get ridiculous.

definitely liking what I've read here. 2k good job of all that has been added and the CAP system sounds good thank you for the face sculpting it was extremely needed. Player DNA is going to be greatly useful in creating draft classes, I cant wait!

Last year I didn't buy at release because I felt burned by the prior year's release and post release bugs, in gameplay and in MyL. I had intended to do the same this year.

My gaming time is becoming more and more limited, but since the MyL team has focused on addressing things in the mode I've been asking them to tackle for the last couple of years, I feel like I need to recognize that by buying the game at release, even if I don't have much time to play it for a while.

I encourage others who have had these same complaints to do the same, and to talk about it today on twitter with @beluba dn #simnation in their posts.

Thanks to Eric, Davez, Leftos and others for listening and working to improve the things we've been asking for. You didn't try to solve the problems we identified in the way I was recommending or asking about, but you know the technology, and you set about to address them in another way that should still allow the player to create the simulation experience they want.

Kudos and thanks to you all.

Impressive. The MyLeague team brings their A game every year and this year is no different -- the historical draft classes are HUGE for roster projects, along with the Player DNA and revamped CAP system. Super pleased that they addressed that section of the fanbase, as they really took a hit last season with 2K18.

There will be growing pains I imagine with all the new features added in but I sincerely hope 2K tested this thing hard this season; with all they added into MyLeague, it'd be a shame if people had to wait because a gamebreaking bug was discovered on Day 1.

We'll see how it all looks live but, at least on (digital) paper, it looks stupendous. Customization is the name of the game and 2K brought it out in full force this year.

This isn't for me for a while. I really need to play this Madden trial before I waste the whole thing. Bravo 2K once again. The depth here is insane. Really happy for the ML Online cats, they been starving for a few years now. Now they can feast. I'm really liking the draft blurbs and it should add more context to things. The historic draft classes are going to be a blast. I'm probably gonna have 6 or 7 ML files before its all over. I always run a current ML. I always do a "who's number one" with the classic teams but I sto after the first season because it doesn't feel right importing new players into that world. Now I can use the historic classes to add a new wrinkle. I also do a ML with the all time college players. Now I can import that old draft class file to that as "recruits". Man, the options. Ok. I'm done now. Off to Madden for a few hours, I hope...

Considering the effort they've put in giving us all these historical draft classes, I wonder if we'll be able to reset current NBA records this year. It would be strange if Kareem has the all-time points record as a rookie, and whether he would start adding to it or just start a separate tally. The ability to adjust the starting year would be cool too.

Out of everything in the blog I think I'm the most excited for Player DNA. I like to create draft classes based off players that I play with in real life and using real players DNA as a starting template is going to save a ton of time. Basically, now all I'm going to have to do is copy an NBA players DNA, update their appearance and vitals, then tweak a few things to make them a little different than the NBA player.

These guys eyes have to almost roll out of their sockets when they hear something like "2K doesnt pay any attention to the hardcore fans, just "fantasy" modes" ...

A lot of this is for the very, very hard core.

Some of these options are even over my head....goodness...

Of course we have to wait how it will work in the game, but all these new sliders sound awesome, the level of customization in MyLeague becomes just insane and I love it.

Sounds like this year will be a huge step forward in terms of Rosters Building and Player Progression/Regression.
We can now adjust Progression/Regression for every attribute - this is huge for me, was on my wish list for years, finally no more declining in IQ-Attributes or Attributes like Passing (or at least I can now control the regression)

Also love the historic draft classes.

Man every year I want to skip NBA 2K, but every year the MyLeague blog gets me.

Very small takeaway but looks like maybe we are going back to headshots instead of the action shots? I love that.

Oh yeah, the amount of wish-fulfillment in this is HUGE. Admittedly, we're likely to miss a few important legends (Charles Barkley and Reggie Miller, to name a few) but the vast majority of the best historical players -- or at least the best, most well known -- should be represented.

And -- this is a total assumption -- but if we have the ability to import historical draft classes of historical players, one would hope that 2K took the time to run the historical player models through the new CAP system to polish them up some (because, let's face it, some of the legends look better IRL right now than their digital models have in the last few years).
