I believe they said you can add CAPs to historical draft classes so hopefully with the improved CAP system we will be able to create some accurate looking players to fill I'm the missing players. Looking forward to seeing what the community is able to create with the new tools.

That is a very good point. The new CAP tools should help bridge the gap for legends that are missing -- assuming the draft classes are fully editable outside of MyLeague (and that's a safe assumption because who edits the classes in MyLeague? That's a painstaking process), than in theory users can recreate legends that are missing and do so without having to resort to less-than-ideal workarounds (like renaming Monta Ellis to Reggie Miller). The below from Mazique emphasizes that:

Thes draft classes will be editable so that you're able to fill in the gaps for players 2K doesn't have a license to use. I still don't know if the players from the draft classes will be accessible in any other aspect of the game for roster building. You will, however, be able to edit the legends, but not their ages.

Two little nuggets I gleaned from the blog:

1. Summer League formatted to reflect real life tournament structure.

2. Teams that do not make the playoffs can be placed in their own tournament with the winner receiving the # 1 draft pick.

#2 is incredible! Personally I would love this to be how it is handled in real life

Forgot to mention this earlier but the mentorship thing sounds really cool too. I had Damian Lillard in My MyLeague in 2k18 and would have loved for him to mentor Gerardo Esparsa (a point guard I drafted). Really neat feature that I'll definitely use.

I love this idea. I wouldn't want it to happen in the real NBA, but in the game it sounds incredibly fun to fight it out for that #1 pick.

I'm definitely doing this. I just hope it works well with the 1-16 seed format as well. All of this stuff sounds great but I'm expecting a few things to not work properly at launch.

Don’t play this mode but respect across the board to everyone involved.

No other sports title is giving you this level of detail and replay value in a mode.

Lol this idea in real life would be bad. Imagine the Nuggets missing the playoffs and then getting the first pick because the demolish the other non playoff teams

MLO is worth the wait!!! I am so happy right now. It's been a long road for online league. 4 years ago seems so far but well worth the wait. I can't believe I am reading what I am reading. The amount of customization is insane for an ONLINE league.

I can't wait to dive into the full blog but everything I have read is honestly too much. Bravo!!!
