I wonder if we can now get closer to creating a NCAA MyLeauge by adjusting all of the Progression/Regression sliders so that players hit their peak way sooner but also regress to the point that teams won't even sign players after 4-5 years of experience.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 MyLEAGUE and MyGM Developer Blog
I hope this "timer" stuff doesn't mean, that you necessarily HAVE to advance the league for trades or free agent signings to go through, like it was back in NBA 2k13.
We usually just paused the league right after the start and only advanced it for transactions. At the same time this means, that the early games will at one point get simulated, just because you had to sim through that date...I hope they kept that in mind for 2k19. We don't want that to happen!Comment

The historical draft classes really are a great idea, but the passage that caught my eye here rereading it for, like, the fifth time was ...
I don’t think I need to explain to you how much fun this feature is as you can bring Kareem, Magic, Bird, Jordan, The Admiral, Iverson, Timmy Duncan, rookie LeBron, and so many more back into the NBA for your chance to guide their careers.
I recently had what turned out to be one of my all-time favorite MyLEAGUE sessions where I ran through 40 years starting with the 1976 class and loaded each subsequent class all the way through 2017. It was a ton of fun, and made every draft ‘must-watch’ as I waited to see where all the stars would land, knowing those franchises would be changed forever. I highly recommend you give this a try!
So if I used a 1976 class, does that mean they're drafting in June of 1976? If so, that'd be amazing. It's a little thing and a really dumb thing, but just having the ability to shift the year would go a long way for immersion.
I realize they can't recreate the league as it stood in 1976 (and would you really want to? Times were vastly different), but just bumping the year date back to a time of your choosing would be nice.
Probably not a feature that's in there, but something I noticed this time around.Comment

I'm probably reading into it, but it's something I've always wanted -- if you use a historical draft class, does game MyLeague date shift to reflect the year?

Re: NBA 2K19 MyLEAGUE and MyGM Developer Blog
Well yes but It has not been answered if we can really start playing in the year 1975 that is what i ment, i like to start playing in 1975 and really move up in years not start playing in 2018 and pretend its 1975. What would make this perfect would be to really start in 1975 with the arena's from back then and then move on from that. Most could be done with the created arena option offcourse if they would give us a little more creative freedom so we can really remake the old classic arena's. But yes lets hope we can choose starting dates when starting a franchise and not be locked into 2018 as startComment

Oh you are very likely right, it just occurred to me that the wording was just vague enough that it might be the case.Comment
