Last year if you pre-ordered the standard version you got the early release. I thought that was an ideal pre-order bonus.

I'm not supporting 2K offering the early release on the anniversary edition. I don't support it when Madden does it but at least Madden is only an extra $20 and if you have EA access you get the 10 hour trail on the Xbox.

It is a horrible practice. Basically "buy our virtual currency or get the game late". They could at least give us something good for the physical release. Sorry but I am not going to put an NBA 2k poster on my wall. That will stay in the box I doubt I would even take it out.

Look at all the stuff you get for the WWE 2K19 Ric Flair edition. A replica HOF ring. A Funko Pop. A commemorative plaque with a piece of Ric's robe. And the season pass for $130. I would actually buy that if WWE 2k didn't suck.

Ever since NBA 2k started pushing their VC their special editions are basically just buying virtual currency. Even the MyTeam Lebron card you get is a sapphire. The day 1 Lakers Lebron in packs is a amethyst which will make that sapphire useless pretty soon. This is a downgrade from the ruby Shaq last year.(Amy if you got the $150 version). With better players released early on this year it really makes that sapphire useless.

With all that said I still bought the legends edition lol. I really wasn't going to and I think overall it is a terrible deal, but I had best buy GCU that is about to run out. Best buy also gave me a 25% discount code for them ending the GCU service. Which dropped it down from $100 to $60. I wasn't proud of it but I had to use the code anyways and it didn't work on Red Dead 2.

about WWE having better merch in their collectors edition, umm its WWE what did you expect Vince McMahon is the best promoter on the planet he knows how to please the consumers, nba and nfl are of the too big to fail mantra and feel like we should be grateful they even give us their product, instead of them being grateful we are consuming their product and keeping them alive

I preordered the $100 version because I want to support 2k and how much they give to this franchise every single year. Trust me when you play other sports games you appreciate what 2k does and how much effort they put into it. I'll gladly give them more money, they've earned it.

Playing 4 days early is just a bonus.

2) Did they email you that 25% off code?

My GCU membership ends in November, and I haven't seen any special discounts like that in my inbox.

My GCU ends August 28th. I received the 25% off code through email on July 31st. So you might have to wait till the month your membership ends to receive the code. It stacks with GCU which makes it a real good deal for special editions. It only works on 1 game though. It won't work on your entire cart of items. It also doesn't work on digital codes, preowned, clearance or Red Dead Redemption 2.

The email was labeled. "Thank you. Save 25% on the game of your choice."

Naw fool...I just don't want to spend the money, because I'm stingy like that and I have patience. I could eat at Red Robin's too, but I prefer Burger King. I can buy Jordans and Nikes too, but I don't care that much name brands.

Thats a very ignorant comment to make, do you think that when you walk by a homeless man, or homeless veteran who fought for this country, I bet they would love to have a extra 40$ or 100$ in their pocket. There are some kids and families around the world, who go to bed each night hungry and not know when their next meal will come.



Not everyone has a good paying job, some people have families to support, and every little extra 40$ they can save, could be put back in case of a emergency, or to buy a kid their 1st vehicle. Considering whats happen with health insurance premiums over these past 10 yrs or so, it takes a good chunk of money per month just to make sure your family has insurance and when you actually have to go to a doctor you find out, you still got to come up with quite a bit of money because your health insurance plan sucks, but its the only plan you can afford.


You either have a good paying job, or your single and have no family and bills to pay and mouths to feed, or I doubt you would make the comment you made. There is only a certain group of people in the USA that gets free handouts such as health care, and its not the hard working citizens of this nation. I hope if you do have extra money to spend, the next time you see a homeless man, who may very well be a veteran who served this country, you throw a little extra money his way, or you give a little extra to a charity of church that helps the poor and elderly, or a charity or animal shelter that helps save animals who have been abused.


I dont mean to be rude, but there are so many people around the world, who are good people, but havent been dealt a good hand in life, for whatever reason, and it upsets me when I see someone make a comment like a 100 bucks means nothing. I will admit if you cant afford to take care of your family or pay your bills, you probably shouldnt be buying a video game at all, but maybe its the only enjoyment they get out of life, due to health issues, that dont allow them to work anymore, or they pinch pennies to give their kid or kids a little enjoyment, so they do without to buy a game for their kid or kids.

this thread just confirms one of my theories about the 2k community, the sim nation and online nation are at war but both love the same game, but sim nation are the dudes that dont pump money into the game to maintain a competitive edge, they try to justify like they are on a crusade to do it by being as cheap as possible, they wanna brag how it took them months to do what we did in 10 minutes of launch day of nba 2k19 haha, i mean if thats how they enjoy 2k awesome, but dont criticize online nation or complain to have the game balanced around you guys when you dont even pump money into the game!!!! online nation is where the "whales" are at, the 2k devs should listen to them 1st when it comes to prioritizing balance of 2k
