Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
By the sounds of it in 19 you'll only be able to get Bigman Contact dunks if you go Defending primary whereas Athletic primary will get you the Elite Contact Dunks.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
We made a change to the contact dunk packs today. It will now be 84 for Level 2 contacts and 85 for Level 3. There's now a smalls dunk pack for PG/SG/SF that unlocks at 85. Bigs (PF/C) still unlock standing contacts @ 75 standing, 50 driving.Comment

Pro Am Builds For 2k19
It's what i mainly run with on 18 and with the new Elite Contact Dunk Packages, Spin and Euro Step Dunks+ defensive improvements(offensive 3 in the key fixed yay!) I'll run it back in 19, probably going to the Lakers since they desperately need a Center.

Sick vid, just sent this to my teammate who is deciding between a SF, 3 and D (defense primary) for spacing, but lower athleticism or slashing defender, athletic freak. This build will probably be my secondary build for when our big men aren’t available.

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
Then again I may have to make a build that can carry offensively and hold its own defensively . these Randoms are beyond trash.
Playing big with Randoms is crazy irritating
If there reb / sharp build can no longer get big man contact dunks that takes away its effectiveness a lot .#1 Laker fan

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
This is what I've got an idea of so far
pg - that's me, probably going to slashing shot creator. want a player like last year's that can score on all 3 levels and still facilitate. I'd always had a Playmaker build but I realized that I don't really need it as much as long as I'm not jumping passing and trying to do too much.
wings - going to probably have a pure sharp, pure shot creator
forwards - tweener 3 and D/playmaking build (This guy is obsessed with Draymond. I know you're reading this even though you've gotten several accounts banned here lmao)
big - probably a rebounding/finishing type
basically the same as last year
playing anything with randoms is irritating lol
looking forward to another year of hearing from the YOU TRASH BRO guy that's putting up a 2/12 stat line
I really want to make a post scorer again but I don't think I'll have the time or desire to. I hope my PG will be able to dance down there on occasion like my SG didLast edited by ph33; 08-23-2018, 02:33 PM.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
Same as my park build shot post scorer
I never got making a different guy for park and pro am. The game runs very similar in both modes unlike 2k17 where park was clearly easier to shoot.
Getting the shot creator takeover to make a guy fall off a post hop will be my favorite thing to work for in 2k19. Also the post got a lot of love and i can’t wait seeing post players be needed again

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
I need to get a play through with things though...
It's just stuff like this: a 73 three ball looks pretty damn bad when it could be in the upper 80s or 90s like a sharp type has....but then you play the game and realize as long as you take intelligent threes, that you can be a threat from outside.
Or knowing that dunking in the 70s with a play/shot (Somewhere there) drastically feels inferior than when dunking in the 80s with a slash/shot.
Last year my first build was a play/shot which seemed alright, but when I got a second crack at it, I realized I'd rather have the slash/shot and I'm glad 2k corrupted my file so I could make 3 new players lol
I also made the dumb mistake of having a center that wasn't 7'3 340. Hopefully that isn't a thing this time around.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
This seems like the year 2k makes the post great again.
I'm looking for an offensive build that can thrive in both Pro-Am and Park.
I'd love to make a Bill Walton clone, but he'd need about 4 archetypes.
For those with experience as an offensive big, what build looks best to you?
Anything I'm overlooking?
1. Pure Post Scorer (close range master)
2. Shot-Creating Post Scorer (close + mid)
3. Athletic Finishing Post Scorer (close + dunks)
4. Rebounding Post Scorer (close + boards + picks)
5. Rim Protecting Post Scorer (two way)Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
This was the first year I didn’t make a ‘LeBron’ (I actually created a 6’8, 250 Playmaking Slasher and got him up to 85 but stopped playing with him and deleted because the finishing was so horrible.)
Main guy was a Westbrook-type 6’3 198 shot-creating slasher who plays above the rim definitely. Probably going to attempt to go back to my LeBron build since he’s on the cover and also because since I see so many KDs (max height SF, shot-creating sharpshooter.) Not sure what archetype though, definitely a slasher but unsure about putting the secondary as playmaking, sharpshooting, or defense. I don’t need playmaking to get assists but I surely need it to handle the ball. Sharpshooting because LeBron has shot much more later in his career. Not sure about defense because they’re extremely limited offensively....Saints Pelicans Tigers CowboysComment
