How long will it take me to get to 95? Or I guess, what does it take to get 1%? Only got one cap breaker for each, so I'm basically 2 away from a 95. But my god this **** is a slow crawl....
93-95 isn't a bad grind at all. I was getting about 65k XP playing only the first half of MyCareer games and got about 3-3.5% each game when I was grinding 93-94. I got 28k last night in a JRC game and got 1% on my bar from 94-95. Unfortunately I have a double bar from 94-95 but I'm hoping to make good progress with this 4 day weekend unless I party like it's 1999 for New Years.

If you have a good MyCareer method for your build you can cruise through those 2 bars to get to 95. Once you hit 94 it becomes even easier with your secondary arch getting a boost when you use Takeover.

While those are definitely the EASIEST roles to play, it doesn't make everything else obsolete.

A pure shot creator played well is the most unguardable character on this game. Catch and shoot gold gives them the ability to consistently stretch the floor, which gives the right players all the space they need to do damage. Paired with a stretch who knows how to pick and pop properly, there's no real way to defend it.

The issue is that even tho a mid-range is higher percentage field goal, it's worth less points. So if a sharp misses more than any other character, they can regain advantage by a few more makes. And usually, it's the same shots with a more forgiving result the next time down.

The shots that most sharps/stretches take are mostly bad shots. The problem is they aren't punished for doing so. If a sharp goes 6/18 from deep that's a terrible percentage. But that's still 18 points they can get on you in a blink.. Even if he managed to go 0-12 starting out, but nails his last 6 in a row... Most likely that's game if it were close before that. It's true, even on bad shooting nights you still need to press Curry and Thompson into still taking long range shots and deny the lane so they don't get anything easy to start heating up. But a lot of times, those guys can catch fire even on bad shots.

There is a certain cat and mouse to the real NBA. Every team has to play to their strengths to win. Not every team has shooters like the Warriors, but everyone is trying to acquire the talent to do so. Look at Huerter and Young. Neither is close to Curry or Thompson, but those players were selected to try and emulate that combo as much as possible.

The main issue online is that every team tries to play the same, with the same type of players. The fact that they're able to do so and teams are having success doing it, is why it's so prevalent. In order to create a more diverse environment, people are going to have to sack up and learn different roles and try to get the most out of it.

I usually play slasher every year. I stayed away because everyone told me not to make one. Until i decided for myself this is how i wanted to play, i wasn't having the fun i desired. Now that I've experimented with a few builds, I've found the role i like.

My shot creating slasher PG at 6'4 is the most fun I've had on 2k19. My online experience once he was maxed and i played with my buddies, was the best I've had this year.

I guess what I'm saying is, win or lose, if you're not playing the role you want it's going to be boring anyways.

Bruh, I used my Rebirth on a 6’10 SF Pure Lockdown, minimum weight. It is insane how fast this dude moves around the court, and on defense.

Really enjoying my 6'10 Pure Point Forward, it feels great to be on a build that's rarely used this year and i just had my best game with it.

What weight/wingspan did you give it? I'm considering this when I get my rebirth about 4 months from now

6'10" point forward is a really good build. People sleep so much on pure playmakers and point forwards. You can't speed boost with a 6'10" until you get takeover, I don't think, but it's not that big of a deal. He moves around the court insanely well and you still get ankle breakers easily.

My build is a 6'7" pure playmaking SG. I have 91 speed with ball and 88 speed. I'm super fast, quick and I can shoot pretty well. I also have all my badges maxed out except for One Man Fastbreak, which is on gold right now.

These builds are really good defensive builds too because they're so quick but they're taller than most other guards that are 6'6" and shorter.

Being able to break down the defense 1on1 so that they always have to help is underrated. I'm thinking about a pure pm. What dribble moves you have for it?

Any build that's tall and fast will automatically be good at defense and transition.

The problem with pure playmakers/point forwards is that they can't do much in a half court offense when the ball's in their hands aside from drive and kick passing if there are two lockdown defenders covering the top of a 2-3 zone and a center with gold rim protector and silver defensive stopper waiting for you at the rim (this is the most common defensive setup that you'll face in Pro Am).

Just make a playmaking shot creator or sharpshooting playmaker instead. Those are the best PG builds this year now that you need an 86 rating to green all your jump shots (even from mid range), and now that lockdown defenders can steal the ball from any archetype as soon as you touch your right joystick and startup a dribble animation.

I switch it up from time to time. PoorBoySin is the best point forward in the game on the 2's and he made a pretty detailed animations video for his build. I use some of ATR Wade's stuff as well.

Yea, playmaking shot and sharp play are the best PG builds by a long shot. But the guy wasn't asking about the best build, he was mentioning how he was having fun with a 6'10" point forward.

And it depends as well. If you're playing on the 2's, pure playmaker/point forward is lethal with a stretch big. That's one of the best duos in the game. It's harder for a pure play in Pro-AM or Rec and you make really good points.

PG Play primary, sharp secondary coming off of a screen, step-back and then allowing their feet to set 3 pointer is un-guardable.

I've played a few of them and they do the exact same moves off of the screen and it seems to drop 90% of the time.
