Default playbooks has to be fixed first or users gonna be seeing plays that actual teams don't even bother to do in real life.

they were all wrong in 2k18.

What plays did they not run in real life?

Here is the Pistons Snap series that Da_Czar said was one of his favorites to run in the game.

Wow! I love how quickly they were able to add this into the game - the analytics gurus have only really started to figure out how valuable the dribble handoff action is in the last year or two - I remember reading alot about how Detroit was one of the early adopters, and were using Drummond's (surprisingly good) passing ability from the high post to essentially run an inverted Pick and Roll, perfect for big, smart passers to take advantage of.

When I saw the big boost in playmaking for the post scoring archetype, I remembered that article and was hoping there was a chance these weren't coincidences and I'd be able to run a similar action with relative ease in 2k19.

Now just to see if i can get 4 people on the same page and execute something like this in a pro-am game...

Fair enough, that’s why personally I will be waiting a few weeks after the game is released, monitor the impressions from users here and ask plenty of questions before deciding on making a purchase.

That's always a good strategy...nothing wrong with weighing your options and making sure it gets a good response before jumping in head 1st...But for me I can't go without nba 2k right now until it's some other alternative bball gameS

I posted a Zip Hammer play on twitter and the Milwaukee Bucks E-league exec started following me and ironically people loved it.

Posted another video people loved that one too, so I pretty much decided im going to do something this year, maybe with the series stuff and post it.

There should be an OS MLO where guys are heavy in social media. OS has tons of individuals, but guys on this site rarely come together in the light. You included 23 and 24th letter. Yall should start something. This board has about 30 regulars who all do their own thing. Divide and conquer as the Pro-Am and Park guys clique up and the game becomes more tailored to them.

Last year the focus was not on play accuracy. But on just getting the plays we had in the game. Due to the upgrade of tech it took everything I had to not remove plays. This year we will add more accurate plays as the season begins.

There are higher priority items prior to release. Plays will never be 100% accurate. They could be if I didn't do anything new and we didn't have freelances and series. But growing the game comes with consequences.

A great thing about our game is you can edit and make the playbooks whatever you want them to be.

@Czar, in the blog you said you played on All-Star difficulty. Is that the best difficulty for a more sim experience? I believe Superstar was the best in the past with HOF being just slightly over the top on purpose.

Depends on how well you shoot and defend in the final build. If you struggle with shooting early all-star is nice because the penalties for missing shot timing are less severe than on the higher levels. Also, you get more credit for contesting shots on that level.

So if you don't know the shot releases your going to have a real hard time staying in games on the higher levels just because your % is going to be very low.

So I would start on all-star until you get used to things. There are always people who can nail shot timing out of the box so they would naturally start on superstar or above.
