Good, the way it should always have been if others are allowed to buy their way up in an instant.

Welcome back, difficulty modifier. Not sure why you ever left but your seat's still warm.

Watching the video now. And every single year I loathe the Dragic trade more and more lol. Like the player and the man but he wasn't worth forking all those assets for. And he takes up too much cap space in these games.

+Love the options you can take on contracts. I didn't like being locked into a team for 3-4 years while I watched management make dumb decision after dumb decision.
+Great decision with the drills/XP distribution and not having some be way too easy and others be impossible
+I see 5k points is needed for Bronze and 15k for silver. Anyone see the rest? God, if they cut the grind in half for literally every tier, that is music to my ears.
+"You don't have to go to the lemonade stand to get the 4th one" As Marv Albert would say, yesssssss

      -*** **** it. Are we gonna have to sit through every post game interview now ;_;

This year looks very promising. Last year I was so disappointed pre-launch but this year looks way more user friendly and that they actually care about their consumer.

Seems like there is alot more depth in mode outside story. The Team Takeover does sound interesting.
"When team takeover is activated in mycareer, you take control of all 5 players on your team.

Could be great for some harder to grind badges!

        Found on @NBA2KonReddit"
Similar to Orange Juice. I could have used it last year. Had this generated platey who was a all around Star that I would have loved to controll.
Will have to watch on my lunch break.

Good to hear, I figured at the rate I got VC in The Prelude, you could get your player to 85 in one season, assuming you play solid basketball. It will probably be less than that once you figure in endorsements and some of the better (i.e. return vs time invested) Neighborhood activities.

Man its great to see Smoove in Mycareer trailers, especially with this 2K being the 20th. I remember watching his 2k10 and 2k11 and growing fond of 2k because of his commentary and gameplay. This is a great way to show love to the person who really put mycareer on the map

I'm crying right now contract negotiation in My career for NBA contracts and shoe deals. I've asked for this for years and it's finally happening!

Smoove coming clutch to convince me to buy this game after the disappointing (to say the least) MyCareer experience last year. The offline experience looks so good and it's great that the grind (for VC and badges) is much easier now. If someone wants to "buy" their 85-overall player day one, so be it; if not, people who only play offline will have a fair chance to improve their players. And this time it seems like I'll create some extra archetypes/players to shake things up a bit when I get bored of my PG build. Looking forward to see more videos from Smoove and other Youtubers.

Now I only need a confirmation that the team mates AI has improved in all aspects and 2K will get my 60€ once again, after almost not buying it. Don't disappoint me, 2K!

Here's my quick notes as I listened through. I've bolded the stuff that I found most interesting.

-You enter free agency out of the prelude. Team's offers will be determined by your play in the prelude and how much they need your position. You'll have some room to negotiate. The negotiation options are interesting. Especially being able to negotiate the teammate multiplier.

-You need "mypoints" to reach the cap breaker. These can be earned in any of the mycareer modes. The gains are increased by having a good teammate grade, beating better opponents.

-Badge progression is a lot faster. Practice drills are 1-to-1. If you pick Ankle breaker in practice, you'll work on a drill to build that. Drills are also reworked. 4 games per practice (and no need to go to the stand). Team practices still pop up randomly.

-Menus reworked. After a game, you can go straight to the practice, the neighborhood, next game.

-Boosts are available right away in the neighborhood.

-Myanimations menu has been re-worked. Everything in one place, laid out more cleanly

-Clothes can be changed from the menu. Don't have to go back to the house.

-Career objectives: When you load up, there's an active objective to chase. For example, it could be...get more minutes, get into the starting the lineup, or get into all-star voting...etc...

-You can become all-star captain weekend.

-Fan and teammate chemistry. There's direct feedback letting you know when you gain/lose friends or team chemistry goes down (video showed an indicator in the crowd showing fan appreciation going up). Could be affected by a play or an answer that you give in an interview or conference or attending events....etc...

-Fans lead directly to endorsements. Smoove says this comes around every 10 games or so. You get in-game incentive bonuses, and you get to choose which ones you want to take. There will be a list and you get to choose which ones you want to add to your contract.

                    -There's sponsor specific perks.

                    -Marketability matters.

-Teammate chemistry is important. Leads to unlocking team takeover. This will let you control the whole team.

-New VIP stats tracking feature. It will track though all different game modes in mycareer. Leaderboards for you to compare against your friends.

-Daily bonus will also let you get clothes. It wil also give you daily tasks that will get you extra VC...like compete in 5 games in mycareer.

I wonder if Market size impacts marketability. Like playing in NYC or LA would earn you more fans than playing in Utah or Orlando.

So from what I saw, we earn attribute points from mypoints. So does that mean we can't improve our players from Play Now Online anymore since (assuming) we only get VC from there?
