I wouldn't actually say don't touch nothing because the following video below is certainly problematic when it's on HOF and the cpu has lack of awareness, leading to overhelp defense when it was totally unnecessary. What is the help defender exactly doing (and notice where he actually ends up)? Tristan Thompson should have been enough to guard the paint, but Tristan kept drifting further back.

I've seen this too frequently for my taste. I don't mind wide open baskets, but how this is coded in the game is unsim. Why isn't Kevin Love or Collin Sexton providing the help? A band aid fix (if they can't get the core fixed) would be at least for Kevin Love to recognize the overhelp defense and Kevin Love should have rotated as well while whoever that guy dropped into the middle of the paint.

But then again, this is a legacy issue that likely would not be corrected with a simple patch ... I doubt.

Not saying this is comepletely gone in retail by any means, but the Prelude and retail are night and day on the defensive side of the ball. I fully believe OG when Scott says there has been hundreds of tweaks since.

Completely understandable and hopefully it’s even more challenging. Prelude ‘19 on HOF is a fairly relaxing experience with the exception of defensive lapses. If my recollection is correct, Scott OG says there’s more than three hundred additives to retail. I don’t doubt that. There’s probably even more post official launch. Absolutely gravy.

However, my biggest concern is the core foundation continues to foster these lingering issues. To me, once is far too many for my taste because it’s more than just a defensive lapse, it’s something much more. Something about the core code is allowing this to happen. The engineers need to put in boundary limits (max, mins) in their code (i.e. if there are 5 player objects in the paint, any player outside the paint need limits so they don’t stray more than X feet from their assignment. The defenders should certainly cheat towards the paint when it calls for it but don’t fully overcommit when the play is nowhere near you (player awareness code, calculations).

The more defensive strategies added on annually means it will be even harder to identify and fix the core with each passing iteration. My OCD inside of me is asking why are we being fancy with all of these new additions when the core has noticeable fundamental flaws.

Edit: Similar to squats and deadlifts, if your foundation/form is off and isn’t corrected initially, every additional pound/rep/set gained could spell trouble down the line.

If the teams responsible for constructing the Tower would have taken into account whatever factors are causing it to lean/sink, what could have been avoided.

          .... San Fransico’s Millennium Tower ...
"A 58-story skyscraper in San Francisco is tilting and sinking — and residents say their multimillion-dollar condos are 'nearly worthless' Millennium Tower in San Francisco is still sinking and leaning..."

This game feels absolutely beautiful the way it is right now. Feels like you get called for fouls when you don't time a steal right and you get a steal if you do time it right.

Just listened to Czars vid about patching and I Wish this thread could be a sticky, but since it can’t I’m just going to bump it.
