Hey All,



Came across this thread since I thought I was the only one having issues. My PS4 Pro is the latest CUH-7200 model and TV is LG C7 model. Not sure how many steps you all took but so far this is my issue and what I have done and might do



Problems

- 2K Camera creates stuttering or not smooth operation. Players run out of bounds or backcourt many times and can't time anything due to latency or lag.

- Issue is with MyTeam Offline and even in Quick play I noticed the same issue.

- Noticed PS4 Pro would get loud during gameplay and would even rattle a little. PS4 is in an open space.



Temp Solution

- Changed camera to High and in some cases it improved game play to run a bit smoother. But results are inconstant as sometimes it would run somewhat smooth and other times choppy.

- Removed HDR display from PS4 also helped a little although my TV is an LG C7 and supports HDR Gaming quite well.



Next Solution to Try

- Going to replace the HDD with an SDD. Since the fan noise was loud and noticed a bit of clicking, maybe its a hardware problem. Plus I heard the SDD was a big upgrade to the standard PS4 Pro HDD



Not sure if you guys tried these steps or if you use an SDD. But hopefully we find some sort of solution.

I have an LG C9 OLED

I also have a Samsung 850 PRO SSD in my PS4 PRO and have the game digitally installed.

I have gigabit internet with a clean well monitored connection and am hard wired all the way through.

The C9 supports HDMI 2.1 so I'm future proofed and I am using an HDMI 2.1 cable after seeing if that was problem.

Regardless of what hardware problem it could be I can assure you I'm living proof that it's not a hardware thing


Edit: oh and not only all of that but I've also taken my PS4 PRO apart and cleaned the heatsink, applied fresh thermal pads and have applied liquid metal to the heat sink to make it run more efficiently. That's a fairly advanced modification but it did yield better operation of fans etc.

Regardless it makes no difference here. NBA 2K20 is a broken product

That's the big question. Do we just sit and wait hoping for a fix? Do we keep trying to get 2K's attention until they put out a statement? I don't know. Just a disappointing and unfortunate situation right now.

Btw,

PSN's customer service is utterly rubbish. They told me to re-install the game and do all sorts of crap (reset the console, check your internet connection, etc. - even though I told them the problem occurs offline and online). None of these suggestions worked of course
Now they have run out of answers, they are not even replying back.

As I said before, they probably can't fix it. If they find a way to fix it, then they'll acknowledge the problem but until then, I wouldn't hold my breath.
