My bad. I'll take back my comments. The bucks are averaging 6.5 steals against the Jazz last year. They had more against the Wizards - 11.3! oh my goodness

I am going back and forth between Hof with the cpu shooting sliders on 45 like user. Or Superstar with the shooting sliders down to 45 for user and cpu. I have played HOF exclusively for 2k. But, I am flirting with the idea of Superstar simply because it might make the ratings of the players matter more. Once i drop the human shooting from 48 to 45 it is more of a challenge.

The last time a guy destroyed me like this was in 2K5 if I remember correctly, when Peja was unstoppable with default sliders lol
Wow...68 points?!??!?! My plan against him was to play off ball defense so I could shadow him and rotate over quickly if he beat his man off the dribble (YOU CANNOT PLAY ON BALL DEFENSE AGAINST THAT GUY), it worked good for the most part, I was able to contest a good bit of his layups and cause misses, If I didn't keep an off ball spy on him he would've easily scored 50+ points on me. Sometimes I have to swallow my pride and let my cpy defenders be responsible for the opposing offensive player when it's a high caliber player like Giannis lol.

According to Da_Czar if you want to see the player differentiation and the gap in ratings (make ratings matter) you should start at all star and tweak sliders from their to make the game more challenging if need be.

Even though he said he would be playing on Superstar in a few weeks. Ha. Anything other then 45 shooting sliders is a death blow for me. I can win games playing sim on hof default. So I wouldnt enjoy all star at all. Even with the sliders down. Unless the sabatoge Superstar like the did HOF.

I feel like I'm decent on the sticks and im still having fun and competitive games on all star with shooting sliders on 48...haven't tried superstar since early release night but I have been tempted to bump it up since im getting more comfortable with the gameplay, this has probably been the longest learning period I ever had with a 2k game. Might give superstar a try tomorrow with slight tweaks to the shooting sliders, everything else default and post some feedback.

I havent gone to that level yet ... HOF default. Could be a nightmare for me.

I like what I see now with me and Cpu missing wide open 3s, and make them count (even for contested shots) when on a run. I'll likely tweak the players' tendencies to make them play more like irl but that will be a chore given the roster changes from time to time.

Rob, how are yor AI reach-in foul frequencies in SS? Mine got a lot itchy hands even when I manage to stay with the ball handler. I also see very very low occurance on shooting fouls outside paint.

I've bumped game speed from 53 to 54. The gameplay just feel so much better at this speed.

I also noted Injury on/off was missing and I couldnt find them in the sliders. My current workaround is to go to the first page, select Injury Report and remove the injured players from there before the start of the game.

Jonathan Isaac, haven't gone up against Giannis yet but I've shut down Lebron and Ben Simmon's in MLO. He's 6'10 with long arms, high lateral quickness, block and shot contest.

All seem better on Superstar adjusted. You can actually abuse mismatches and poor defenders. Hof is purely stick skills and animation knowledge, whereas superstar adjusted has more realistic basketball plays.

There's a fair bit of talk about lack of fouls. I think it's caused by CPU players not attacking the rim with lay ups/dunks on their drives. Im going to up the 'attack the basket' tendency on individual players and see what I get.

You're talkin against CPU not User vs User right Rob?

Or do you think User vs User superstar is better than HOF now?

I have noticed this as well. Star players, and players in general, do not drive all the way to the basket enough. They typically stop 5-7 feet out and pump fake, or take a step back jumper. (This looks terrible)

Also, if you jump in the air on their pump fake they will not shoot into you and draw the foul. They tend to stand there or keep pump faking.

I had mentioned the same thing someone else on here over the weekend. When I play against aggressive teams like the Bucks the cpu fouls are on point, but against the more finesse jump shooting teams fouls are not as much.

Isn't there some kind of draw foul slider or tendency in the game?? I don't usually get into all of that editing because I like to enjoy the game without spending 6 months fixing rosters but sometimes I do try out some of the roster gurus work. It'll probably be months before a good roster is created though.
