The attributes tips on focusing on acceleration and lateral speed has improved my 69 OVR SF greatly.

He’s actually fun to play with now!!

Also, I won my daily spin and got the daily reward for 4500 VC recently. I’ve decided to allow my player to accumulate VC for a month at a time before spending.

I am also a 69 now. Haven't touched my lateral quickness since 61 and only have a 61 steal but i have bronze pick pocket with silver pick dodger. In averaging 2.9 steals a game on Pro difficulty.

I'm in my 40th game and in a crazy turn of events the Mavericks and Grizzlies traded Harrison a Barnes for Micheal Conley!

The first game we barely beat the Lakers. I had to put up 65 to do it!

I'm ready to start my career tonight. I have everything ready. Newest update and patch installed and Face scan ready. Going with a 6'8 230 PF with Default Wingspan. With the VC I have saved up and a few locker Codes, I'll start around 71-72 OVR. I'll boost athleticism, max 3pt, steal and block, and dunk. Debating whether I should go 80 Stamina, or 75 Stamina that way I can boost more important ratings first. Even though I can skip Prelude, I do the whole prelude just so I can upgrade my player as much as I can before I start NBA.
I was set on starting with Mavs. But after thinking about it today, it might I'm leaning towards Rockets. I will develop so much better playing with the Rockets as opposed to Mavs. Having 3pt maxing at 72 and mostly being in high 60s, it'll be better playing with 2 silver or better Dimers. It'll help me boost 3pt badges quicker. Also with Harden, Gordon, and CP3, I don't have to be main option right away. Then 2nd year, I'll look at Mavs or another young team that will have a top 3 generated player.
Feel confident there won't be no real life trades soon because 14 of 15 teams are in the playoff race. So don't see no trades. So I'm confident that I have at least a few weeks to month before next major trade. Then I will probably start my 2nd Career after trade deadline

As of right now I'm a 71 overall. My driving dunk rating is an 86 with a contact rating of 82. I get Gold posterizer and HOF relentless finisher. I'll end up with a 90+ driving dunk before long but i have 2 other slashersz a shorter guard and a taller PF. Neither is as explosive and my guy isn't even maxed yet. Lol

I simulated after the all star break since we only had 4 loses and were like 7 games ahead in first place.

I can edit the line ups now so I'm switching it up for the playoffs. Im starting Kleber at center, and Dirk at the 4. I figure 5 shooters on the floor will be nasty.

How can I post a video to this thread? I really hope some 2K developers are in here because the video I recorded can really exploit the madness behind this game. I can tell you simply what happened but seeing the video proves how staged the game is, especially my career. I can DM people or email them the video if they wanna see what I’m talking about. I’m usually never the type of person to give up on something but after this happened to me, im considering not playing this mode anymore.

So I've gotten into a rhythm with my pure shot creating SG. Instead of trying to dribble so much I've just began running around off ball and getting it in easy spots, I've also started posting more and doing dropsteps, being 6'6 I can usually back people down

Yeah I tried that but none of the videos I have would show as an option to choose. Basically what happened is I created a new player for my career and was playing my first game. I got a takeover meter and once I got it the opposing team kept calling timeouts. I noticed this so I pull out my phone and start recording thinking is 2k really that petty they literally are gonna make both teams kept calling timeout just so I can’t use my takeover?! Since I can’t upload the actually video I screenshoted parts of it to show what happened in a sequence. I can promise to everyone in this thread that takes the time to read this, I cannot make this up lol It’s crazy Both teams literally wasted all their time outs just so I couldn’t use my takeover meter. Started my Career today and just finished the Prelude. Started off slow until I got to G-League. In the Lakers-Spurs game, I ended with 23 points and 9 rebounds. I signed with the Rockets. I can score better as a hustle scorer. That's why I feel confident as a Defensive Primary and 3pt secondary.
With the VC stored up from MyNBA2k app and a few locker codes, I am at 74 OVR before I play my first NBA game. I notice how easy it is to get badges this year. I already have Brick Wall, Defensive Stopper, Hustle Rebounder, Posterizer. You have plenty of chances in a single drill to upgrade a badge. Now I'm deciding whether to upgrade Rim Protector and Pick Dodger or try to upgrade my 3pt shooting badges. I maxed my 3pt at 67 or 68(Hard cap of 73). So to get 3pt badges, will help to shoot 3s with confidence. Playing with 2 Gold Dimers, will help me shoot efficiently and help boost badges quicker

In the corner i can hit with hot zones with a 58 3 pointer and catch and shoot bronze with corner specialist.

Even though Prelude was on Pro, I did make a few green release 3 pointers. I will focus on 3pt badges early to help. I'm only 1 OVR away from Custom Jump shot. That will really help. That plus Cp3 & Harden having Gold Dimer and CP3 having PnR Maestro Hall of Fame, that will make it easier right away. I will focus on Catch and Shoot and Pick and Pop

As far as scoring VC; I’ve been lucky with my daily spins, NBA game picks, and recent daily challenges.

I should try the 2k app as well.
