I have come around a bit on my shot creating post scoring PF. It has little to do with my actual core skills. But once I got my 3 pointer to 62, and got my catch and shoot and corner specialist badges, I've been making over %60 of my corner 3s. This has allowed me to stretch the floor and pull bigger, slower players outside, making me more useful and also able to dart inside and grab boards. I can also pump fake the 3 and step inside for a reliable mid range. I'm quick and athletic enough to grab offensive boards surprisingly well and I can stick with those stretch 4s everyone complains about. One nice thing about guarding a stretch is that you can usually get a step on everyone in transition, leaking out for a lot of easy buckets. On paper, at 6'11 this is actually a good mismatch build. It's faster and more athletic than any center playing out of position while still able to stick with stretches and big SFs playing at the 4, but big enough to abuse those weaker players down low.
That said, its still frustrating that my primary skill, post scoring, mostly goes to waste. I find chaining post moves to be slow and it gives way too much time for the defense to react and bring a double. None of the lightning quick post moves like Hakeem, its more the lumbering ones of a Patrick Ewing. Also the issues with standing layups definitely don't help (hopefully that fix is coming soon!).
