I stand corrected it's just the CPU being the CPU..going on a spurt where it's impenetrable...just doing it faster(due to the patch making the gameplay faster)

It's good to hard reboot after the patch or those main menu updates. I notice wonky gameplay changes immediately after an update but after a reboot things start to settle back to a normal environment.

Congratulations. I don’t ever want to hear the words ‘full ball tangibility’ from this place ever again. The only thing that should’ve happened was, if your steal rating was low, that you’d be much more prone to being called for a reach-in call. But now we have lost full ball tangibility JUST LIKE CZAR WARNED. But nope, nobody wanted to listen.

The DaCzar also said the game would be unplayable if the ball was 100 percent tangible.

Contested layups should miss. Now we gonna see some inside big cheese

I was still clanking open layups all yesterday so I don’t think it’s been adjusted.

I dont know man.

If we boost layups anymore it feels like well be in 2K18 territory with paint D. Guys are converting some crazy stuff already.

The defense actually got some wins this patch. It's still not on level with the offense but it definitely got SOME support. The hands up movement is a plus. TBH the defense now earns some light contests that are iffy but it feels a heck of a lot more balanced than before.

I honestly have no problem keeping inside shooters under 50% in Pro-Am Rec. Standing contested layups rarely ever fall and even when I blow my assignment, they still often miss. I don’t even care about contested ones missing. I’m just tired of seeing so many open ones miss. And I mean open as in the game tells you you were open.

If you play offline buy physical copies and if you don't like updates delete game and reinstall.. I always buy physical and I also don't keep my console connected to internet so I don't have that problem.. I only download the day one patch for games and that's if they are needed

Is it just me or does the preferred shorts length option even work?

I change it to short in for a edited player, but the length stays the same.

My first rec game after the path, the PG, a sharpshooting playmaker, had a triple double with 10 steals.

So I'm not sure the changes have been THAT dramatic.

I understand. To me, it would be a VERY slight nerf/boost to those areas. Enough of a nerf where people have to think about taking smart shots instead of jacking reckless 3's, but enough of a buff where bigs are not scared to take a shot underneath the basket after a rebound or when the ball is thrown to them.

As for the defense, I feel it's just a tad bit too slippery for my taste. While playing PNO, I had a couple of times where my defender slid behind the ballhandler when I had hands up. I think there should be a slight increase to the defensive assistance slider to compensate.

My 7'1 rim protector finisher is finally hitting his inside shots vs players that are shorter than him. Against another big I actually have to do some post moves to score. Felt good so far...

I also noticed that fall down animations has been toned down greatly.

FG percentages in myleague (played) games are atrociously bad. 5 games now of no team shooting above 41 percent. Somebody else has to be seeing this. Can't be a fluke.

First game today. 25 steals is a LOT. I’m actually happy with what they did with the steals because there appears to be less guys lunging 10 feet for steals or jumping 5 feet in the air with their back turned.

Fair enough. It still feels like I’m hitting about 50% of my standing layups that register as “open” which is way too low but hopefully i’ll get better results today. They didn’t mention anything in the patch notes about buffing or nerfing shooting which is why I’m sceptical that they touched anything.

I still fell down a few times yesterday but I wasn’t really paying attention to the frequency pre/post patch.

I found some sliders that I made my experience much more enjoyable a couple days right before the patch and I stopped updates when I saw 1.04 was coming based on these forums in case it messes things up. My question is since I like gameplay is there anything in this patch that would make me want to update when all I do is offline franchise mode?

They better hope that this patch fundamentally changes the game. With the games coming out in the next couple of weeks they could see a huge drop off of people playing this game.
Last year it was fortnite. This year call of duty, red dead redemption 2, fortnite still, and a few other games.
This could be a make or break patch for 2k19.

Defenders are less sticky and thats HUGE for me. Positioning is respected while not handicapping the ball handler.
