I dont know man.

If we boost layups anymore it feels like well be in 2K18 territory with paint D. Guys are converting some crazy stuff already.

The defense actually got some wins this patch. It's still not on level with the offense but it definitely got SOME support. The hands up movement is a plus. TBH the defense now earns some light contests that are iffy but it feels a heck of a lot more balanced than before.

Layups were a problem for y’all in 18? I was a MONSTER down there defensively . People couldn’t finish over me .

Instead of boosting layup success I would be open to better , more swift animations for elite finishers . That ugly standing soft layup animation that kills all momentum ain’t it chief .

The game is sped up to damn near arcade levels since the latest patch, plus the cpu barely shoot mid range and 3 point shots now they either attack the basket all the time or hit cutters cutting to the basket damn near every play.

I wish they just left the damn game alone, getting around the defense is no longer a challenge and the game now feels more like and sped up nba 2k16 than the unique game which was once known as nba 2k19

Yeah for me the biggest problem in 17 and 18 was standing dunks. Guys triggered them non stop and they were so hard to defend. It led to guys basically standing under the hoop waiting for passes. They did a fantastic job this year of lowering the frequency of that animation triggering.

I honestly feel like there’s a bug with standing layups so that even when the game registers the shot as open, you’re still affected by the proximity of nearby defenders. That or it literally has the same probability as an open jump shot.

The thing about user steals. We are playing in god mode. I don’t  care how bad a defender irl if they could see what we see there would be a steal every time. So 2K in a way has to cheat defenders to even make this  game playable.

Congratulations. I don’t ever want to hear the words ‘full ball tangibility’ from this place ever again. The only thing that should’ve happened was, if your steal rating was low, that you’d be much more prone to being called for a reach-in call. But now we have lost full ball tangibility JUST LIKE CZAR WARNED. But nope, nobody wanted to listen.

This same thing was happening since day one. I have hundreds of videos of it and one of them is floating around here.

We like ball tangibility in off-line modes

We hate it in on-line modes(Skill Point/VC/MyTeam Currency connected modes against another user) because with the camera options you can literally see every frame of action on court which makes people play defense in non-logical areas and situations in every second of gameplay.

Is it just me or does the preferred shorts length option even work?

I change it to short in for a edited player, but the length stays the same.

Yea i am not sure either, All of my players from myleague has "long" shorts, this doesn't change and stays "short" when i wear classics...

I guess you aren’t aware that last year they were asking why their numbers were dropping.
Do you think that once they’ve sold the game, that’s all they care about?
That must why they patch the game 12 times a year.

The inconsistencies in conversion between contact layups and lightly contested standing layups make no sense at all.

And "baseline cheese" is very real.. Right now gameplay wise this is not an upgrade at all over 2K18

My 7'1 rim protector finisher is finally hitting his inside shots vs players that are shorter than him. Against another big I actually have to do some post moves to score. Felt good so far...

I also noticed that fall down animations has been toned down greatly.

You are one of the lucky ones. My Post Scorer (91 Post attributes and 95 strength) still continues to miss standing layups that 2K says is open, unless it’s a perfect release. The slow layup animations and falling down is going to kill all bigs other than 7’3 Glass Cleaners. Who wants to play with a player that has 50 speed, can’t stretch the floor, falls down after layups and gives us fast break buckets.

As much as I want to chew out the sharps and shot creators for taking “bad” shots in Park, I can’t because their shots go in at a 50%+ clip which is higher than my standing layup success.

Guess I’ll have to join the post hop cheese, since that’s real basket...

How many times am I going to play a game in MyPlayer career only to have a connection error as soon as the game ends?

Tired of playing games twice. And fwiw my internet connection is as solid as it gets.

Second time it has happened since the patch. And it has been going on since launch.

EDIT: I guess there is another server issue this weekend with the event just like last weekend. If 2k servers are anything, they are consistent. smh

They patch the game to make it better and to fix flaws which other games due as well, that includes madden, nba live and non sports game. Your argument is flawed but carry on.
