1- Way too many jump balls in mycareer

2- Camera should not show the fans count after every score or asists

3- Lockdown Defenders are OP , not every reach should be rewarded

4- Shot Contest needs to be fixed , Sharpshooting Playmakers should not be able to shoot limiless range on a defender's FACE

Most of these wishes won’t be granted until the next generation of hardware comes out. Which is why I haven’t come up with a wishlist in about 2 years. 2k has simply maxed out this current hardware. Ain’t no real changes coming for 2k20

          Re: NBA 2K20 wishlist thread

Just mentioned this in another thread but as a single player I'd love to see an almost exact NBA replica of the trophy case seen at 3:08 from NFL 2K5:

          <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mUaiLKn1ogo" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Having something tangible like that, even if it comes with no additional pomp, circumstance, or unlock, greatly increased replay value. Knowing there was, say, an Anquan Boldin achievement to unlock gave me reason to diversify and utilize different teams.

An NBA 2K20 version could be diverse and variably challenging. "Grab 20 points and 20 rebounds with Andre Drummond". "Score 70 points with Devin Booker". Even better, 2K could attach achievements to all classic teams as well, giving them a purpose beyond random Quick Plays (assuming a Classic mode isn't coming back anytime soon). "2004 Pistons: Hold the 2004 Lakers to 70 points or less (8 min quarter or above required)". "Score 50 points with 1989 Michael Jordan vs. 1989 Detroit Pistons".

Even generic in-game achievements would be nice to have back. Akin to NFL 2K5's "Grab 8 Interceptions", it'd be nice to have trophies or recordable notes of things like "Hit 15 threes in a game", "score 40 points in a quarter", "achieve a triple-double" with dates and teams involved included (Russell Westbrook - Thunder vs. Hawks 11-22-19).

The real dream would be replicating NFL 2K5's "Moments" mode, where gamers could pick from 25 classic moments in NFL history and try to replicate them. For example, re-creating The Drive from 1987 by being thrust into a game situation where John Elway had to drive 98 yards with the clock ticking.

          <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/xpi9d7Zr7qY" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Imagine being able to re-create moments like "Kobe Bryant's Game 2 Buzzer-Beater vs. 2004 Pistons" or "Jordan's The Shot vs. '89 Cavs" or "Klay's 37-Point quarter", "T-Mac's 13-in-35".

Tons of potential there, all while giving classic teams vastly increased relevance. 2K has put so much work into classic teams and players over the years, it'd be a shame not to utilize them for something great.

Just in terms of MyCareer, it would be awesome if you could adjust muscle mass and definition. These could directly be attached to specific sliders such as strength, or durability, or fatigue. Of course the NBA isn’t like that of the NFL, but even in Madden you can adjust different aspects of the body. It would be fantastic to make historical builds for MyCareer such as Shaq, with the understanding that you will be the last one down the court and tired after 7 minutes. But not everyone wants a 3 point shooting build. Currently adding weight to players hardly affects appearance, but can drastically change attributes.

Wow did they ever break 2k19.

I haven't played in a few months just from playing other things. Had a craving, so I threw it on pro. I just can't get over the amount of stupid misses there are now. I'm assuming they were trying to balance out shot %'s so they made you miss dunks and layups and stuff. I am by no menas a great player, but I used to play on HoF and have very good games with a normal W-L based on the team I was using.

So my biggest wish is to, for the love of god, not give in to all the whiney *** fans who complain becuase they aren't allowed to cheese anymore. It's just sad to see the patches come and the gameplay slowly breakdown because people want to play stpid ways. When they adapt that they have to make up for things elsewhere. Out of the box last year was one of the best 2k gameplays I have seen.

Just stick to your guns. Let the whiney park players who want to run in circles and hit 3's suffer. Let people actually play basketball. The boys doing the play call system deserve a lot more respect. It actually teaches you to play basketball, but from what I've seen it gets broken by the players that want to cheese the game and not play real ball.

My biggest problem with gameplay is the ridiculously long amount of time it can take to inbound the ball after a basket. That is so annoying and needs to be fixed for 2K20. However, I'm sure it won't be addressed.

The same with timeouts. You have to wait 5 seconds for time outs. I wish we could X through them. Someone on here said it was because of "loading" though I don't understand that at all.

I would like a third archetypes or third spéciality in MyCareer.

I dont know how but a way to be a more complete player, I love the MyCareer mode to try to be a Lebron, Curry or Harden and we are way too much limited

                          Re: NBA 2K20 wishlist thread

Responding as a primarily career/park/pro am player. There’s a good amount of things on my wishlish, however, I won’t get greedy. There were a lot of things on my wishlish last year, and actually 2K addressed a number of them. If these handful of things were addressed my 2k20 experience would be magical. (Also a note, I respectfully disagree with the no archetypes in park/proam crowd. I think customization makes the game fun. I understand the need for balance, but think that be accomplished in other ways. Perhaps we can split the difference and make a “ranked” or other type of special mode for that?).
                          Main wants
                          1) More customization within archetypes: To me, the system is too constraining. No two NBA players are the same, even if they’re the same “archetype.” I don’t need full control, but I’d like some power over how I allocate my stats/badges. Like as a playmaker, I favor passing over ball handling. So perhaps I get some discretion over maxing out dimer over ankle breaker?

                          2) Start myplayers at a higher overall (70-75), with basic badges: I think it’s a win-win all around. Players hate the grind between 60 and 75, because your player is useless and you don’t even get a good feel for your archetype. Starting your player off as competent in some skill is (a) more realistic; and (b) likely to make you more open to experiment. I think it’s a win for 2K as it would keep the player base around longer, and as more people experiment more people would (shudder) pay VC to jump their characters from 75 to whatever the max is).

                          3) Generally, more viable archetypes. Similar to first point, but more general. If we generally keep the same system, we have to do something to make certain archetypes more accessible. Perhaps boosting the effect of the secondary classes or loosening the ties between height/weight to the size.

                          4) Nerf lockdowns: Birth of the lockdown was a response to the OPness of sharps in 2k18, but it went a bit overboard. Running a 3-d-stopper line-up shouldn’t be nearly as effective as it is in pro-am (suggestions: nerf offensive ability of d-stopper; boost defensive abilities of all classes, esp two-ways; reduce the area of effect of defensive stopper)

                          5) More defensive classes/badges: Defense is half of the game, but there’s only 1.5 (counting glass cleaner) defensive classes in the game and a handful of badges. Not all good defenders have the same style (i.e. Marc Gasol is a really good defender, but not a great shotblocker. Jrue Holiday/Dwyane Wade are guards who block shots at a good rate).

                          6) Separate park and neighborhood servers: they changed this from 2k18 to address concerns about the long run to the park in 2k18; however, this solution just diluted the park area in each server. Cages stayed busy

                          7) Re-think the park system: Way too many dodgers this year. I’d add a second “walk-on” court, and perhaps allow games to start even when there isn’t 3? Or add a mode that randomly matches you with teammates/opponents

                          8) More ways to play with friends: I really liked the “other game’s” idea here. My friends and I could lobby up and play against AI with our created players. If park/proam are especially slow, or we just want a change of pace/practice, it would be a fun thing to do. Imagine loading in with your five to play a pro-am game against 2012 Heatles. I thought that they scanned in the celebs last year with this sort of mode in mind, it just didn’t materialize. I think this would be a VERY popular mode.

                          9) As always, reduce the grind: I think the grind/VC required/monetary cost between 60-85 should be relatively flat. That just makes the game accessible and actually fun to play. I maintain that you should be able to get to 85-90 in the same amount of time that it takes to beat the average video game. For example, I’ve been playing Spiderman a few days a week for the past 3 weeks. I’m near the end of the game, and my character is a pretty high level now, such that Spiderman has a few tricks up his sleeve and feels powerful. With that same sort of commitment in 2k19 (sans paying for VC), and I’m lucky if my player is a 73. Further, where Spiderman is still fun at a low level, 2k myplayer is NOT. Those games I’m playing between 60 and 73 are definitely not fun (and NBA games are your only choice, because rightfully, people are going to play park/pro am with a 65 overall). I’m actually OK with the grind from 85 to 92/93 requiring some work, as long as they’re accessible to someone who plays the game somewhat regularly. I am perfectly fine with 93 to 99 requiring a real commitment.

                          10) Rookie park : This came to me when typing the above. How about a park for people with characters under 80 overall. Sometimes, I have difficulty getting games in the park with my 91, 90, and 88 overall characters. People with 66’s have no chance. If the mantra was that you can earn VC anywhere, let’s make that true.

I hope they improve the sounds of the arenas. The atmosphere is very important in this game, and they need to bring real crowds of each teams more often, and more realistic (current teams like Classic Teams).

And bring back more special skills for each players. They deleted free throws routine of Ewing, Zo Mourning or Rodman. What a mistake. They also need to improve face and shoes of Classic and legends players (and to make real roster lol, no John Smith teams).
