My point is that in this game, a defender can arrive late like Green did in that GIF and still have a significant defensive impact on your layup release cuz of the layup defense strength being the same at release, as it is at takeoff. I've even had times where i'm going for wide open layups and a defender jumps late at the release of my layup just like Green did and doesn't make contact with me, but still makes it miss. I think that's bs.

Yeah but this game is supposed to have its up and downs and not a perfect game a element of surprise. the thing is most gamers in 2k only complain when the game doesnt favour them or they think they should make a basket all the time. but even in NBA ish happens. so why complain?? just play the game and be better all the time with decision makings. not really a big deal. to be honest.

nope pretty fine with my sliders to be honest. just getting rack by CPU sometimes which is totally acceptable bcoz nobody's perfect. just like in real NBA basketball. cant complain in a miss lay up when im open coz sometimes that ish happen in NBA so is dunking. my issue with this game will forvere be the Accuracy of art direction and footplant. and also fouls on 3 point shot.

Definitely agree with the footplanting. I'm waiting for that to finally be realistic.

What angle are you approaching your comment from? Are you just playing offline running plays and know how to beat the computer on certain levels? Cause i guarantee you you wouldn't approach this game from the same attitude if you played online against players that zig zag behind screens and run power fowards and small fowards at the point guard that shoot like curry, being rewarded more for cheesing playing unrealistic basketball, than playing realistically.


Watching people blow layups because a defender was simply near the area, but then see players drill 3's 6 feet behind the line with someone simply because they have "limitless range" or a high 3 point rating, having your cpu have ZERO offensive awareness, its just unbalanced and broken. You cant say there needs to be an element of surprise and it has its ups and downs when the game is through and through broken and unbalanced, even if im winning a game online i know the only reason i am most the time is because im out cheesing my opponent, so its not just complaining when the game isnt favoring you, its pointing out how broken and unbalanced this series is at the moment.

What angle are you approaching your comment from? Are you just playing offline running plays and know how to beat the computer on certain levels? Well good that you enjoy the game fully in its current state, other than foot planting and lack of fouls on 3pt plays, which I also want to see changed too. But for me and obviously lots of others, this game has a bit more issues than those offline. Some can be helped by sliders, others can't. At the end of the day, I feel like most of us want the same thing tbh...to see a better and more realistic game.

If we being real and honest...Online games will never be realistic, when 95% of it gamers play the game like kids do(dont even argue on that part) gamers that will missed 2 lay up and will rant the F out on every social media Bcoz they have rights...bcoz they paying a bunch of VC to upgrade a player from the get go and assumed that they should be perfect all the time. and should not "loose"...that word is like a slap on this online gamers faces that so hard for them to accept. they think that their better than everyone. some of them think that their playing the game the right way.

How bout real Professional NBA players missing a dunk and lay up when their all alone. that too happens in real life. how ironic huh??

you must be playing online also coz im pretty sure when that happen you already cursing a lot and with that sentence, only online people using 2k cam with shot meter on will comment. am i right?

Even in offline the CPU has to cheat against the user, the amount of times i see stuff like this, https://streamable.com/f0dla , there able to shift you out of position with no regard for your defense, when the games come down to it, the CPU will just break all mechanics and rules. So offline can still become just as cheesy because the CPU has programming to play cheesy too. Some of the videos i'v taken of CPU doing absolutely ridiculous things, its insulting to basketball.



Also if NBA players were missing layups and dunks to the likes of how this game represents basketball? People would start thinking the monstars having stolen their skills or something.

nah this is different from the OP...stop reaching, this is more of a footplating problem and canned animation. and this type of things "dont happen every possesion"..your exaggerating,, really you telling me the whole time you play from 1st to 4th quarter the CPU is cheesy or cheats its way to beat you?? then maybe you the problem...how bout that?? now regarding the missing lay ups and what not your the only one who will think that way just check youtube for all the weird thing that happen in NBA.

nah men your just being too picky..and i didnt say " I dont believe" thats not the issue..Trolling for what??after showing a bunch of videos that the actual discussion is about????this aint a perfect game and it will never be unless the issue of sliding, footplanting and canned animation is solved...

you want movement to be what you want... go play an actual basketball..you cannot blame a game....this isuue is not a "gamebreaker"..the only time it is a issue is when "YOU" people is losing the game ...You cannot be happy all the time in this game...its supposed to capture different emotion so is real NBA basketball..angry, mad, happy, excited, surprised....and so on..if you think your move is calculated then you are the one that is wrong not this game...go play a real basketball outside and make sure all your movement is correct..

a lot of things happened in this game, mid range, 3 point 3 dunks to be exact..oh and a time out CPU 7 minutes of 1st quarter ( for all the people crying about no timeout)

so should i complained about a couple of flaws on this game mechanics?? that happens maybe twice or maximum trice in every game i played??(strictly talking about Offline as i dont care about any online issues coz thats a lost cause)

i could be picky like most of the spoiled kids playing this game, but nah..this game is pretty balanced on my part, maybe because of how i play or my slider. but definitely not a gamebreaker to cry and complain and rant about how broken this game is.
