Winning ratio doesn't mean **** to me, I' ve seen guys with good ratio ruining the offense cuz they want to carry the whole team and freeze out the guy with low recordAnd they will turn their mic on to blame everyone for their stupid contested shots and turnovers

Good or bad record I just need randoms who know how to read the floor, power forwards who don't stand still in the paint, or 3pt lines. I need them to Set elbow screens, offball screens, sharps who know how to distract the defense curl and flare, spread to the weak side, and move without the ball
Instead of these fake a$$ Curry

Only time I'll consider backing out is when a bunch of pure sharps or stretch bigs are on my squad. I'll take a low overall, low %, as long as they understand the fundamentals of basketball.

I've come to learn those guys serve as much better teammates that your 94 overall sharps.

Instead of complaining, you could have just made a constructive thread about improving the matchmaking system like multiple people in here have mentioned. These types of threads are pointless and literally accomplish nothing. Time to pull your head out of your a** and start thinking before you post things.
Nah I'm good. Consider it a PSA to the noobs. If you're so upset by it, don't click on the thread. Simple.

We all already know the matchmaking sucks, 2K hasn't fixed it, so this is a direct thing to the actual players. If you're getting beat EVERY game, if your record is 10% - 40% (or here we'll make it 30% just for you), WHY are you still playing this mode? It's trash pollution lol.

Why would you call out the backouters? They are the ones who have to keep backing out. So you do the same thing...exactly, hypocritical. Or I guess you just enjoy waiting 20 min to find a game with non-zombie crackheads huh. At least I'm actually contributing a semi-solution.

Do you take the same offense when people get mad in Park because it takes too long to find a game? Be consistent...

Gotta play the odds though, and chances are guys with 30% win% are trash.
            Yet they keep. coming. back.

"If you're so upset by it, don't click on the thread. Simple." Wow. Says the guy who went into the WNBA thread and went on a long a** rant about why it's a waste of resources and how "nobody watches the WNBA", and that it can only be successful if it turns into Hooters. Oh, and when you went into the thread about the 2K League player being suspended and ranted about how him violating his employer's code of conduct was subjective. But yeah, I'm the one who needs to be consistent. I've never seen someone with as little self-awareness as you Keith. It's really astonishing.

This thread is why I don't play 2K online. People in the 2K community get way too serious over a video game, and I'm no stranger to competitive multiplayer gaming, being a fairly decent GT Sport player and sim racer.

I can understand the OP's frustration and usually this is the issue right here. More serious players are getting matched up with super casuals and it goes all bad from there. Usually when players use the "it's just a video game" cop out they tend to be not as good in the game (from my experience). For the person who said "Just carry them", that's a tough task to do when they're getting torched all game on defense and don't have a clue what to do on offense.

I don't condone running with a full 5 in JRC but after yesterdays Double Rep, I can honestly see why people do it. It was a lot of bad players in the rec last night. The one time I tried to give them a chance it went all bad with the PG having 9 Turnovers and our center shooting 5/16. I constantly had to dashboard to find a decent player or two to run with afterwards. It's just too frustrating playing with scrubs.

Also for the folks that constantly run a full 5 in JRC, stay doing just that please. Some of yall were exposed last night. You guys look like a deer in headlights being on the court by yourself. It's obvious who has to rely on a full 5 to win and who doesn't.

JRC is just an all around bad experience this year. Time for a revamp.

Re: Stop joining JRC if your record is under 40%

It really is just a video game, though. To provide an idea as to my background, I've been sim racing since I was a kid, I've played nearly every sim there is, I used to be active in iRacing and I have an S SR as well as a B DR in GT Sport, which only isn't an A because I didn't put enough time into it and I am now away from home, but I was halfway to getting an A rating and my point total was trending upwards. So, while I'm certainly not a pro, I am a serious player and I can hold my own. Do I get frustrated and go online to complain when people ruin my race, which happens quite often? No, I do not. I get a bit annoyed, but I just get on with my life. Those are video games, the least of my concerns. I take them seriously when I'm playing them, but at the end of the day I'm just trying to have some fun, and taking games too seriously would be kind of missing the point of gaming.

I'd probably be a good online 2K player, seeing as though I've been into basketball all my life, I've been a sim baller since NBA Live 97 on the SNES, a 2K player since ESPN NBA Basketball on the PS2, and I play basketball in real life, so I know a thing or two about basketball and 2K. This kind of attitude from the community just turns me off, though.

It's not that I don't understand his or anybody else's frustration. I completely get it. Nobody wants to play with low IQ, selfish players. Of course I want to win, but I also just want to play games. That wasn't the point of my original post. I was calling him out on his arrogance to come in here and tell people to stop playing like he is above them when record obviously doesn't mean everything. It would have been more productive had he made the thread about ways he thinks 2K should improve the matchmaking. If he wanted to complain there's already a thread called dear randoms where he can go and vent. Like i said, these type of posts are pointless literally contribute nothing...

Damn right he (the OP) knows about the 'Dear Randoms' thread. He started it.

Imho, they haven't incorporated matchmaking because of $$$. Having a 60ovr on the same court as a 95ovr makes someone want to buy VC.

In my opinion putting an emphasis on records and making it public was a mistake. Last year it was better since you didn't know your teammate records or archetype. This mean you didn't care as much and work with what you have.

Matchmaking is a must for 2k20 if 2k wish to attract newer players and keep them. No one like to lost 30+ every game it just discourage players from playing that mode ever again. I understand where OP is coming from because I been in those games, but it is up to 2k to put a system in place that distinguish experienced players from new players. Also, there no reason why a full squad should ever be match up against five randoms.

Just put people that try to set 3 picks for the ball handler in their own groups please. That's all. It's amazing how inept and selfish some of these guys are. They don't realize that by setting 3 picks for the PG that they effectively allow 1-2 players to guard 4. This is why I never go into the rec with a PG unless I'm playing with people I know. It's just a miserable experience.
