In my experience as a pure sharp that actually tries to play a spot up role like a Danny Green instead of zig zag cheesing and throwing up contested shots, I typically struggle to get a decent amount of touches/shots because a lot of people don't see the open man or don't want make the extra pass. When I play with high IQ, unselfish players I can easily score 15 to 20 because those types of players actually look for you, set off ball screens etc. I've played about 30 games and I'm averaging around 5/6 ppg on about 50% from the field and from 3, but I feel that doesn't show the whole picture.

Its usually those people who think they need to put up points regardless of their build that are a liability....
Nothing more thrilling that seeing that GC grabbing that o board and then deciding to try and dunk it on 3 defenders rather then pass it to the sharp who is wide open in the corner.
I guess after trying that 15 times in a game and making 5 he is not a liability anymoreLast edited by tru11; 03-28-2019, 11:48 AM.Comment

Anyone can contribute 10 points with any build if they take and eventually make enough shots.

Pretty sure that if he gets 20 rebounds, he will make 2-3 putbacks and then Some pnr and that’s 10 pts.
I wish the lineup showed more stats than just avg ppg but since that is all that is given to me, i make do with my 10 pts rule
Not saying that’s a garbage stat line, its just that the lineup doesnt show me all that.
All i’m doing is taking decisions on the information at hand, being win/loss and ppg.
Is my reasoning waterproof, of course not.
But i will not play with anyone who has got a negative record and less than 10ppg average.
Does that make me lose out on possible great teammates like you? Yes
But for every one player like you i miss out, i avoid 10 really trash players.Comment

Yeah the inside is hard this year.
Its why i dont like having a real big man this year.
I like them 7ft PF sharprims or sharprebs.
Having your big man a threat from the corner just opens up the paint so much.Comment

My 1st build this year was my 7'3 Pure Glass.
I avg 4 ppt, 5 ast, 15 reb, 2 block, 2 steal. And was gladly doing it as I initiated the offense with my break starter. Heck, as a 60 ovl, I was holding my own...God wants you to succeed

Yeah, line i said. Stats aren't everything, but teammate grade is a good indicator.
If you average less than a B- I can tell within the first few possessions.
Irs not about stats or records as much as it making the extra pass, playing good defense, getting back in transition.
You can run with any line up and win If everyone plays as a team.Comment

Pretty sure I average at least a B+ and like 8/8/8 because I run with a lot of different players
Doesn't matter who I use, I always get rebounds and assists. If I have a scoring archetype I try to do it efficiently. If I have a role player I make sure the guys who are supposed to be volume scorers have an easier time doing soComment

Whatever you say 1 Ball Howie.
It's well over .500 and that's after playing with a ton of randoms. WITH a squad it's more like 95%. With players with positive records it's more like 70 - 80%. So yes, I'd say the vaaaast majority of my losses are from trash players who more often than not have trash records. Hence this thread.Comment
