Re: Stop joining JRC if your record is under 40%
I think I remember that stupid voting system in COD. You could get voted out before the game ever started. If I got into a lobby with a bunch of players who had prestiged multiple times and had mics, I already knew that I was ready to be booted.
Ironically, I'm actually a solid player. I just never got into the whole prestige thing.
Point blank, 2K Sports just needs a better matchmaking system where similar players are matched together, squads are not able to prey on weaker teams, less skilled players have they own park, and they sure need to remove that stupid ability to view another player's card. The snobbery this year is at an all-time high. It's ****ing annoying.Comment

Re: Stop joining JRC if your record is under 40%
I feel like it is a fact, that no matter what matchmaking is used, there will always be someone complaining about someone else being a bum, with no regard to the actual skill level. I’ve watched streams of pros who compete at the highest levels of their respective games, and are viewed as some of the most elite players in the world, and they still get flamed by a random teammate as being trash
I contrast that info with the reality that I remember playing DOTA, back when it was just a custom map in WCIII, and there was no matchmaking. It was not a good time. Almost every game was a stomp, one way or another, quitting was rampant, and you just had to cross your fingers and hope your team was gonna be alright. Then DOTA 2 came along, and more specifically the ranked matchmaking came along. Stomps went from almost every game, to an occasional occurrence. Quitting still happens but so rarely that it surprises me when it does happen. Lastly, I watched a replay of a low tiered game and was shocked at how bad everyone was, because I hadn’t seen anyone in my games play like that in forever. Not knocking them, because it’s not a crime to be bad, but it’s an endorsement of how matchmaking completely segregated me from them.
So in summary, people will be lame and cry about you being trash, no matter how good you are, and proper matchmaking is an essential way of life for any competitive game
The real talent will separate themselves and rise to the top level fairly quickly, while beginners and the less skilled can still compete and learn at some level without the frustration of being constantly stomped by people looking solely to farm stats.Comment

Re: Stop joining JRC if your record is under 40%
At times, the park look so zombie-like, because everyone's MyPlayer characters are too busy looking at their phones verifying basketball credit. If it's not that, I get annoyed watching people following the YouTube, NBA, and Dev players like a bunch of groupies. I'm literally disgusted with what MyPark and JRC has become.Last edited by ksuttonjr76; 04-05-2019, 08:44 PM.Comment

Yep, and honestly the phone thing bothers me on a different level. In our everyday lives, we see people with their noses in the phone all the time. Something about seeing that in real life, and then jumping into a video game to see the same thing just bothers me so badly.

So you’re saying that at least 2k can make a check your phone sim correctly? [emoji23]

Re: Stop joining JRC if your record is under 40%
Well I do search peoples stats, mostly to avoid ball hogs and people with low IQ, could care less about W% as long as they move the ball around while shooting good %s and doing what their archetype is expected to do, if they do something else, is a plus. You can do an educated guess by going through stats. It just occurred to me doing that a few weeks ago and it has paid off, from being 11W% in th Park am now aroung the 40s. The same applies to JRC.
Just last night, I had a 5 W game streak with 2 random dudes, both with lower than 25 W %, except for the first opponents, we beat trios of 93+ players on all matches. Granted, most were sub 50W% but some were like 75W% and with more than 1000 games (dont do people have lives ?, lol). Had to leave them to go with some friends to the JRC.Last edited by ffaacc03; 04-06-2019, 10:25 AM.Comment

Re: Stop joining JRC if your record is under 40%
First of all this thread wasn't even made to have a discussion. Once again, it was another pointless rant. Second of all, WE didn't derail the discussion, YOU did Keith. We respectfully gave our opinions to your ridiculous demands, to which you decided to attack us because we disagreed with you, so we defended ourselves. There was never going to be any debate since you just attack and insult anyone who disagrees with you.Comment

Re: Stop joining JRC if your record is under 40%
You literally haven't offered anything constructive in any part of this thread, other than your response of basically "If you don't like my trash record and having to back out, suck it". Who keeps bringing up me instead of focusing on the topic???? YOU. You're like obsessed with me, get over it. Again, you're delusional. You have zero logic to your argument so it's actually you getting emo and trying to insult. The only people I've called out are the ones who deserve it -- the arrogant low iq trash in JRC who continue to pollute it.Comment

Re: Stop joining JRC if your record is under 40%
Let's recap one thing...I do mainly play PNO, but I never said that I personally sucked or had a bad record in MyPark or JRC. That was the assumption YOU made about my skills. I play chess IRL, because it gives me a better mental challenge, but that doesn't mean I suck at checkers...let that sink in for a moment, or is "Personal Preference" still a foreign concept to you?
In reality, you saved yourself $300....Comment

All the more reason to vet players by their records and stats...Comment

And low iq bums/noobs hate that, because they can't hide. You're crying over natural consequences and expected reactions to sucking.Comment

Re: Stop joining JRC if your record is under 40%
This dude was probably the same type of player who would spend "hours" in the lobby "looking for competition" when NBA 2K PNO used to have chat lobbies before they moved to blind matchmaking.
During those times, fools used to spend a great amount of time selling wolf tickets in lobby. Refusing to play anyone who wasn't in the Top 100. I used to play anyone, because I didn't have time like that to be picky. I was a modest Top 500 player with a 60+%. 2K Sports had a true ELO system for determining rank. I could smash a Top 100 player, because let's be honest...the "top" players mainly rely on exploits to win. Beat the exploit, you win the game. However, I could lose to someone who was ranked 1500+, because they would play a "complete" game of basketball. When lobbies existed, it took about 10-20 minutes to get a game.
When they moved to blind matchmaking, I was excited. It took only minutes to get a game. Plus, it gave me an occasional opportunity to play a "Top 100" player who were mostly trash, because again...they're all players who relied on exploits to win. I swear, at one point, I was the top "sim" player when it came to NBA 2K, and I did it using the Pacers every year.Comment

Stop joining JRC if your record is under 40%
It seems like this thread was only made for ONE person. If anyone else makes a comment, it’s met with anger and hostility.
Theres only one opinion and that’s it! If you don’t like that opinion, just keep yours to yourself because you’re wrong.
It seems like someone wasn’t hugged enough as a child.
There have been many good points brought up in this thread, but since they don’t belong to the only person that matters they’re all wrong.
I hope that some good comes your way friend. It seems like you really need it.
