Nice I like it....my only concerns are
1. making the body types look right and feminine

2. also movement animations not looking like the reused NBA Male animations ...would be great if u can see the differences with great mocaps from movement, to layups etc

The wnba isn't very popular and I feel like the resources used for this would be better used to improve the faces of legends and players tendencies overall. I do feel however they should have female representation in the park...beyond the boost lady lol.

This is a waste of resources. I am disappointed to say the least. Add WNBA to cater to the 2% of NBA 2k gamers that are female so they can be politically correct.

Incredibly dumb. You're gonna eat up a bunch of development time for the WNBA? I mean seriously, the WNBA probably averages less that a few hundred thousand views for their games. I'll never understand why these gaming companies feel the need to virtue signal and destroy their product in the process.

Don't buy it then. The rest of us are happy to see women basketball players represented in the biggest basketball video game on the planet. It's about time. Should have happened a few years ago honestly. "Virtue signalling" and "destroying their product" just because you don't like women in your game lol give me a break



And those of you complaining about "wasting resources" like 2k is running on a skeleton crew over there just barely pushing out games on time lol

This is a bad opinion that I keep seeing on here. I do not think spending development time to add the WNBA is keeping you from having a better game. The time spent developing dodgeball & mini-hoop & cages? Maybe they should use that time to improve the things you want.

My opinion is that they had better add more than exhibition games. Live tried that and it was just disrespectful. Give the WNBA Season/Franchise Mode, MyPlayer, and the same options to play Streetball. Would be phenomenal and 2K would sell even more copies

I would be curious to see how it would work with Franchise and MyLeague given only 12 teams in the league. Maybe similar to MyGM where you have expansion and you can expand the number of teams to more than 12?

SMH at some of the opinions on this. I get it if the WNBA isn't your thing. I don't watch the league and won't touch the teams in 2k but this isn't for me, just like some of the other modes and features in the game. I don't really play My Team. I don't play any of the Park stuff or most things related to My Player but I'd never say those things are a waste of time and resources.

An important aspect of any product is appealing to as many people as possible and for the first time in 2k history female gamers and ballers will be represented in the game. That should attract a wider audience and fanbase, which should also mean more money and more resources for future games. For the people bothered by this just think how frustrating it must be for any female gamer or basketball player to only having the option of playing as NBA teams and men for their whole lives. And some of you are upset just because the WNBA is now included in NBA 2k.

Lastly, drop the whole "just make a WNBA game." That would be a far bigger waste of time, money, and resources. That would require making an entire new game and either making a new development team or removing people from the NBA team to focus on the WNBA, all in an effort to make a game that will probably sell a fraction of what NBA 2k does. It makes far more sense to include the WNBA in the NBA to maximize sales.

Exactly. I'll probably use WNBA in 2K the same amount I did in Live - once or twice to try it out and that's about it. I just don't get personally offended that a video game added an option for other players who aren't me. Not sure why some others do.

I have no idea where his figures come from. And probably whatever he said is not true . But again , claiming that only a few females play 2k isn’t sexist.

Personally, I will play with the WNBA teams , but if there isn’t any tournament mode or they aren’t implemented into my league , i will only use them a couple of times in exhibition mode and that’s it .That is because I want the games i play to be in a context of a league/tournament . Maybe 2k will bring back tournament mode this year ( older versions had a tournament mode which you could customize too)
