I am interested in the current workload schedules of each team. Just wondering if we can accurately gauge how much time will be spent on WNBA material.

If this makes some folks happy, then I'm all for it. I personally might play 1 or 2  WNBA games before I move on the main league. If the WNBA mode I might would check it out but I don't see it holding my interest long as I don't follow the league.

Not trying to devolve this thing into purely a political conversation but....Just because times change doesn't mean they always change for the better. I think history has shown us that over and over. Me personally, I'll never believe that inclusivity is more important than things like freedom, merit, creativity, etc. All have suffered under this corporatist view of "equality" and in western culture we're no doubt closer today to an authoritarian nightmare than we were, just 20 years ago when a good portion of the population wasn't brain washed into thinking everything has to arbitrarily be equal. I don't think anybody can argue we got better quality games back then and that was because the focus was on creating great games and not trying to placate every social group on the planet.

Let the WNBA live... NONE of us know if the addition compromised other aspects of the game, so the speculation is trivial and ignorant. If you don't like it, don't play it.

Us SIM heads rarely play the MyCareer/myPlayer modes, but we understand its a part of the future for 2K -- The WNBA deserves inclusion, just like all the frivolous additions we've accepted throughout the years.

Dudes have been making this baseless argument for YEARS whenever a new feature is introduced in 2K. We would get some news on a feature that the art department is responsible for and dudes would be like, "See, I told you they don't care about offLine gamers anymore." It is just dumb man.

It's just ironic to me in terms of the business:



NBA Live's iteration of including the WNBA received little love and support from the gaming/sports community, despite the claims for equality. Yeah, it was terrible (only having 5v5 Play Now basically) but it was a start.



NBA 2K (a superior product) does it and now everyone is super excited about it. But where was that same support last year around this time for NBA Live (in terms of the WNBA inclusion).



Seems to me people are going to support the "superior" product regardless compared to the "inferior" one. Which, to me, in terms of the public eye and business (not my opinion), is somewhat indicative of NBA (2K) > WNBA (Live). People are going to support something that they deem to be worth more for their money. It's interesting to say the least, I support 2K doing it but we all know how slick 2K is with stuff.

2K has a much larger fan base. Many 2K players don’t also play Live. Of course it would be lukewarm with Live. The entire franchise is lukewarm. But I, and my nieces, were happy Live added the WNBA. They played hours of Live this cycle just playing each other in WNBA games. They look up to those women. All the ridiculous ‘waste of resources’ opinions in this thread and none of you even realize the real impact this has. Is it a small portion of the playerbase? Yes. But my nieces, who had NEVER played a Live game before, asked for it as a birthday gift BECAUSE of the WNBA. They care. Women care. This is in no way a bad thing, and to see it treated as such is really disheartening. It’s 2019 people.

This. I was all for WNBA and Females in live for the same reasons I like it here. The problem is that Live was a dumpster fire, and as much as I liked the feature, the gameplay turned me off.

It being in 2k means maybe, juuuuuust maybe, I can have decent gameplay as well as be female.

Because I'm not downing the fact that NBA 2K is including WNBA, just pointing out something that was already there and wondering why a vast majority of people (male and female) that want support for the WNBA (in all aspects) didn't invest in NBA Live's WNBA product. Just wanted clarity before I commented toward you.

Also, if it don't apply to you then I would say keep it moving, simple.

It was more of a general statement towards the negativity in this thread, I just quoted yours because of the first part of my comment about how Live doesn’t have nearly the same fanbase. And just generally isn’t a good game.
