Is the god awful chemistry bug and the inability to see the damn team option screen after year 1 in MyGm as well? I was thinking about messing around in that mode until myleague is respectable again.

Hello, MyGM player here.

I am frustrated that they made MyGM a mode with little customization.. that being said, you have MyLeague. Its a GAME. They took things out that we liked yes, they put a lot of work in it as well. I am sure that ppl are upset about the "Draft classes as I am but this isn't "An unfinished game". I am enjoying MyLeague, its fun.

Its only been a week fam.... what do you want fixed up outside the customization aspect? Gameplay is its best its ever been. I will say, you do have to work on i when it comes to shooting and all.

We are really spoiled man, to be honest. 2k is FAR from perfect but damn, they do great work on trying to appease everyone.

Draft classes are so terrible. They fixed nothing over a year. Fine they didnt add anything but at least polish the modes up. Draft classes are azz. Tired of constant editing appearance, tendencies and attributes.

Been the same draft class generator for years now. Always got a superstar/franchise player on top (6'7 point guard smh) hardly any badges. Black guys who look like they need to be white and white guys who need to be black lol. I wish they update it finally.

You're not the only one. I'm enjoying MyLeague right now. I'm just getting a feel for the game and mode overall as well as waiting on JBs drafted class. 2K deserves smoke considering how little they added to ML and literally taking out the traditional MYGM, though. How do you not squash these ML bugs when so little was added? It's cool to try something new with MYGM, but why remove options? I'm having a good time with ML and I figure a fix is coming. If not, I know how to navigate around the issues thanks to last year. It sucks, but it is what it is. For me, its not worth the spazzing out.

Exactly all I’m saying. I grew up round the the NBA Live 2001 years so we have had a lot of great things added to the game. I’m frustrated as hell at MYGM, but there is a work around it. I got upset to the point I played 2k12 just to feel better but it showed me how much stuff has been put in through the years. I also played College Hoops and said “Wow, 2k20 not so bad after all”

MyLeague and MyGM weren’t really addressed, that leaderboard stuff messed up everything, it’s so stupid! Making everything about VC and Online now, it’s frustrating.

We have other options, which allows us now to be creative. Draft classes look wack but I spend time on em and save so I can get the realism I want. I have that OPTION, instead of being locked out.

Im a jersey head so if I want to rock the 94 Sixer reds, ITS THERE to play in MyLeague. I wanna wear pinstripes from 96, ITS THERE.

Find a solve and get creative is all.. we have lots of expectations but that’s because of what they already built. I just want my mode back like you all with some additions of playable GLeague lol

Really could use some help or at least a solid yes or no. Is there anyway to create custom draft classes for MyLeague? How do I make or find someone who can make them? For example, a draft with Kobe, Pippen, Rodman, Arenas, several more real players then filled out with computer generated guys.... is something like that even possible. When it gives you the option to load a class and you see classes like 2023 or 90s legends.... that’s what I’m looking for but with specific players. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I’ve only been playing 2k for a couple years and MyLeague only on 2k19 so please excuse my naiveness.

I really hope that a developer or someone else high up in 2k reads this response, not that its anymore right than anyone else's opinion, but I do feel like it has something to offer and it did get quite a few positive responses in a previous thread.

Truthfully, 2k should be ashamed of themselves for releasing a game, not only with as many problems as it had upon release, but along with calling the updates to MyGM/League, "updates" the way they did, and being money hungry thieves and focusing their business model on online and VC play as much as they did.

Especially lowballing this offline community the way they did and essentially trying to force everyone to become online players. Me personally, to begin with, I don't have time to be an "online player", I get lucky if I'm able to play 2k once or twice a week, and for me, I have been a dedicated fan to 2k for many years, not just because im a basketball fan, but because every year, the amount of realism their franchise/gm mode brought to the game. So realistic that you truly felt like you were controlling the team with the amount of options you were allowed to have. As a baseball player, this is why I have stopped playing The Show and have not bought the game in 2 years, because they dont focus on their Franchise Mode and give any amount of depth to it, and at this rate, 2k is on the verge of losing me for the same reason.
Yes its dorky and its something that doesn't appeal to everyone, but their is a community out here that enjoys the idea of being able to control and build a team as if you were truly in control of the team for a period of time and have interactions with people within the organization, its a sports fantasy for the 99.9% of us that won't ever work in the Front Office of a Professional Sports team.
This is the reason I've been a dedicated 2k fan, including pre ordering over the course of the last 5-6 years, But I can say ive never spent a penny on VC, including buying the extra more expensive version of the game, and I can assure you that now Ive felt VC shoved down my throat by 2k, I will definitely never give them that extra penny.

It's sad because truly the gameplay of the new game is worth the buy, even the presentation of the game, which I didn't think could get any better considering that we are at the end of the shelf life of current gen consoles, the presentation looks incredible.
But to think that adding a leaderboard and then locking the rest of the customization, that person with that idea should of been fired on the spot. Now if you would of given me this option and allowed me to turn it off then that would be a different story, and now its only taken 5 or 6 patches to get that fixed, which is also sad considering MYGM once again was put on the back burner and still all the problems within the mode are not fixed.

MYGM was originally so locked, and still has issues, that you aren't even allowed to choose the opposing teams uniform, so they are either playing in White or Color, which im being nit picky but over the course of multiple seasons, the same jerseys get boring aesthetically.
Also considering you couldn't change minutes or have simmed stats option, so the computer would sim 12 minute quarters with 100+ scoring games. where you have to play 6 minute quarters so you're lucky if you're able to score 90+ on the nightly bases, and then come award time, there's no chance your player could win an award because the stats would be so unequal.

I could understand if maybe 2k ran out of "big major ideas".
But I would of even been happy with small improvements such as trying to secure ESPN/TNT/ABC Liscenses so that you could have true National Showcase games, and even if they couldn't get those liscneses, then making up their own version of networks where showcase games gave you a true National Game feel vs the little TV icon just being on the schedule.
Even something cool like, as a GM, having to go and secure a TV contract with your local market and being able to upgrade the network with success, or even add sponsors in the arena. I do remember this is a feature the SHOW had years ago, maybe on the PS3 days, but they had fake businesses and TV Contracts and you could get a 25 year bank loan to pay off as you made profit.
Having the crowd vary depending on team performance, day of the week, market, state of the team / superstars on the team, and spotlight games.
Even adding some behind the scenes GM type stuff, I'm not sure what else goes on behind closed doors but im sure there would be enough to add, between controlling the locker room, media narratives, or earning the respect of the fan base when it comes to building a winner or trying to tank and build through the draft.
Having legit FA meetings where you are trying to sway big time free agents with whatever you had to offer or the pitch you were able to give them
Pre Season Media days, having some drama with whatever is going with the team or on / off the court or superstars being unhappy or demanding trades,
interviews with local / national radio stations with some depth, and not just the post game interviews because your team is on a winning streak
bringing back the option to give players true roles whenever you are in contract negotiations
Even just adding more cutscenes and ways to interact, even maybe if you were truly able to control your gm character, think of the neighborhood, but for MYGM where you are strictly in the arena and see team personel in various places, and walk around the arena, the way their is a neighborhood, and different places allowed you to do different things (office, court = practice/game, locker room = chat with players, trainers office =chat with trainer, media room = chat with media, you get the gist)
These are all minor improvements but they give depth to the mode, which is what has allowed this mode to become so great, the depth it has.

I hope because were at the end of PS4 life that maybe the memory and disc size is allowing them to run out of room to add new features and they have a lot planned for us MYGM players come PS5 release, but thats a very high benefit of the doubt I dont want to give them.

As a game that set the bar so high for so many years, they completely dropped the ball this year and became lazy and money hungry trying to squeeze VC out of everyone and force MyGm out the window, especially considering its taken 5 patches to get anything fixed
The way I see it, they just dropped themselves back down equivalent to games like the SHOW, and its no surprise that WWE 2k, ran by the same company, is lacking the same amount of "updates" to their universe mode. go from 7 matches to 14, 3 rivarlies to 6, and call that an update. It's a lazy excuse and a lazy year of development.

Unless I see major improvements next year, this will be the last year NBA 2k gets $60 from me, the same way the SHOW has over the course of time,
maybe if my fellow community members who feel the same way, make the same decision, eventually their pockets will feel the pain.

I'm sorry for such a long post, I dont post much on this forum, I typically just read everyones opinion, but this was something ive been thinking about that I felt like I needed to say.

The almighty dollar has spoken. Even though, in my opinion, us offline franchise folk helped put 2K in the map, we are being left behind.

Without the ability to continue a revenue stream with us, they can’t devote the resources to improving the mode.

It doesn't really bother me that a lot of things weren't added, what bothers me is some of the issues that still haven't been fixed after years of not functioning properly. I love the customization of this mode and all of the options available. I just wish it ran more realistically at default and we didn't have to rely so much on figuring out which slider set is best.

That being said, I do appreciate the fixes they have made. Can only hope this mode continues to at least get some kind of attention as we go on.

I'm very happy now that we have an "offline" MyGM mode....but I still don't understand the action point system. I want to be able to play all the games instead of simming. Last night it automatically simmed one of my games. I'm assuming that happened because of the action point system. I don't get it. Is there an article I can read that explains how it works?

I'm still trying to wrap my head around new MYGM. Looks like hella fun tho.Also wasn't it the first 2 years of next gen 2k that we had this weird myleague/mygm Frankenstein mode. Was very ridge with no customization and riddled with VC. I hope they don't do that stuff on PS5 and Next XBox

THIS. Its been this way forever. You'll have black guys with like the straight hair Superman comb-over and ish LOL. It seems there is no logic and its just randomized.
