For at least the previous two years, yes. Here's 2K18's: https://www.facebook.com/notes/nba-2...4749630982267/

I stand to be corrected but from reading the 2K20 article Steve posted today the tone is such that this seemed to be the blog for both MyGM and MyLeague. I see folks jumping on the line, "Hello, world! It’s the franchise team here, ready to give you a sneak peek as to what MyLEAGUE has in store for NBA 2K20" but the inference I pick up on, particularly when reading surrounding text, is that the "sneak peak" meant "before the release of 2K20", not "before an entire other blog comes out only on MyLeague".

The entire article referenced finding ways to improve the entire franchise system as a whole, and they seemed to think the best way of doing that this year would be to focus on the MyGM subsection.

But again, I stand to be corrected.

if not then that's fine with me. NBA 2k's franchise mode is still way better than NBA Live's Franchise Mode and Madden's Franchise Mode too. i like new badges about max deal and their own personality like that

I wasn't really expecting big changes to MyLeague. They haven't really added much to MyLeague since 2k17. But at least we are still at the point where the mode isn't shallow. The mode still has vast depth and important core features.

I'm not expecting big changes until next generation. My hope is that they down tear down mode and rebuild mode like most sports games do in new generations of consoles. Hopefully with the consoles having same architecture as current gen, that it allows an easier transition to next gen. Where they can just build off of what they have already

Honestly...this shouldn't be an excuse....majority of people will NOT buy a new console when they become available, and NBA 2K is not console mover game. Typically, people will either wait for the new console, and buy NBA 2K at that time. Or, they'll NBA 2K for their current console, and buy a new copy when they get the new console.

"Saving" features won't increase their sales. Some people would argue that NBA 2K6 and 2K14 were bare bones when compared to their last gen game counterpart.

MLO might be cookie cutter. Maybe there will be a separate blog to drag the info out as slowly as possible or as slowly as normal.
Playing NBA 2K feels like a job that pays minimum wage and then cuts your pay when you get your Bill's right to make it even harder to succeed. I do not like this game but it's the only one in town.

I always assumed it had more to do with the team moving more of their resources over to the next-gen product and the prep work that goes into that, not so much purposely withholding cool features on the current gen.

I'd also wonder if the team is cognizant of whether they might try to avoid the bare bones situation they hit at the last console switchover. I'd assume that'd take even more manpower.

My experience thus far is that the first game that appears on the new consoles is barebones, then the next game has all the bells and whistles while the previous gen game basically becomes a copy/paste with refinements.

I was just trying to avoid the narrative of "They're purposely withholding features to boost sales for the next gen console.".

I'm disappointed and confused. Disappointed because although myleague has lots of customization it gets boring. There is no immersion. All the editing draft classes ect. gets boring. Would be much better if you could auto generate and superstars and bust come into the league without editing shot tendencies and potentials ect.

What I'm confused about is why have the Nba 2k20 wishlist thread last year? We wished and nothing was granted lol

I'm happy to see this blog post, as I was hoping to avoid buying 2k unless there was a new feature that was game changing. However, this gives me a perfect excuse to keep my Myleague going.

Funny thing is Czar was doing one of those late night livestreams a few days ago and I mentioned the next-gen games and he said how it was going to be a rough year because they will have to make 2 games.

So, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they've already started working on the next-gen games as well, hence the apparent lack of new additions to MyLeague.

What an absolute snoozefest. I’m talking most boring blog I’ve ever read from 2k. It’s a good thing I don’t just buy the game for MyLeague because this is very disappointing. I feel bad for everyone who was really banking on significant changes to that mode. Y’all got abandoned this year.

definitely was expecting more from this blog. Not really much to get excited for...my hype just dropped as this was what I was waiting for the most. Maybe something else will peak my interest like create a player upgrades or something. I still fully expect a good product but just a bit of a let down

Honestly MyGM is a very stupid concept that I wish they would do away with for next generation

Not sure how I feel about online rankings for MyGM. I have this sinking feeling that eventually users will be able to boost their scores with VC purchases.

Also, so long as MyLeague is available then MyGm is just a waste of space anyway.
