Other than that, this is really disappointing if that's it for the mode, it is in a really good place as is, but it still had things to be fine-tuned as well, I just don't think MyGM is ever gonna catch on.
Plus it will help with those who want to tank and do a full on rebuild with their teams. The only thing now is being at the mercy of the lottery system and hoping it goes your way and you land in the top three draft slots.

I also at least hoped MLO, considering the claim last year to have "everything that offline does except in season training" to actually have everything that offline does except in season training. Maybe at least 2way contracts

After re-reading last years blog on Myleague, I now realize that half the features advertised and introduced in 2k19 didnt exist in a particular mode (ML Features that didnt port to MLO), didnt work properly as in the case with the mentor badge transfer system), and wasnt mentioned at all for fear of over promising and under delivering (the MLO offseason glitches/Server Stability during peak 2k season). I have revised my thinking to believe that MyGM 2.0 is the feature the worked on most as the "flashy" marketing reveal poster child of franchise mode. Last year MLO was the big reveal upon revisiting last years blog. The Prior year offline, was the big emphasis. I wont be dissapointed as long they picked the low hanging fruit of slightly upgrading MYGM, with a low key deeper emphasis on completing the full unification of offline and online myleague with all the bells and whistles that are found offline including: in-season training, the chemistry/morale system, user controllable season awards, all star game, summer league, the G league and 2 Way contracts.

If they would've reiterated the above feature sets, it would've been universally panned as them regurgitating last years promised additions while also reminding the community of the botched roll out of those aforementioned features, some of which were never addressed via patch all cycle long, inspite of extensive feedback from the MLO and ML communities.

Again after reading this blog from year ago, this is all we will get this year with the focus being MYGM 2.0 with hopefully an extensive ironing out and addressing of the bugs and glitches and missing features that plagued an otherise fabolous iteration of myleague in 2k19, bar none Visual Concepts greatest iteration of the mode to date. Inspite of all of the angst, 2k19 ML and MLO will go down as an all timer for both online and offline myleague fans.

All in all Ame, as we will all agree that we would all prefer a good solid, working out of the box MLO rather than; marketing oriented full of wishful but not working features written in a blog.

For this year, let's hope the best when we get the game itself rather than a blog hype.

Agreed. This will be the last game on this generation of consoles so hopefully they took time to iron out and fix bugs over splashy marketing gimmicks to hype features that are half baked and poorly implemented. The foundation of a great MLO mode is there. We just need it to work as advertised. This tweet from mazique below is literally all that need. SERVER STABILITY.

Awesome yeah, the mode is already very deep especially relative to most games franchise modes. Just need bugs ironed out, would've liked for a few additional features, like ability to specifically set the salary cap season to season but overall its great and just needs to work.

I'd 100% be ok if they just delivered on the "everything from offline is there for online" promise from 2k19 (2way contracts, G-League, all star weekend, end of season awards, Summer League, etc) fixed 5-7 major bugs (multiple player quick edit height switch, player waiver cap hit disappearing etc) and improved server stability.

Still disappointed. They can add all the features they want to MyGM but at the end of the day things will still most likely become pretty unrealistic, and MyLeague will always be the favorite of the two.

The problem is 1) barely any new myleague features, and 2) none of them move the needle except for force winners. Especially improved draft classes because so many people start with custom rosters so youll end up having to, at the very least, adjust ratings of generated players. And of course, still ZERO improvement to the arena and uniform creator.

I hope they fixed the alternate jersey bug so it actually works this year since its been a bug for atleast 2 years now, also hope they now give us the chance to turn on or off the nike logo so we dont need the extra image slot.

I still don't understand the point of the nba 2k20 myleague/mygm wishlist thread last year. It wasn't made by a operation sports forum member. A 2K EMPLOYEE POSTED IT!!!! So why no wishes granted? They could at least have told us if the myleague bugs were fixed. Draft class improvement??? Anything???

A max badge and forced wins. Not knocking forced wins but COME ON!!! No pre and post game stats, no score ticker during games, more stat overlays during games. Maybe a nba home page with news and stats instead of "twitter". Something small and more interesting. But hey I can force a win now. My basketball itch has been scratched.

How about the commentators talk about the nba champion when you play them or if you are the champion. Not all that uninteresting repetive gibberish. People keep saying myleague is the best franchise mode. Maybe but its not alive and immersive. Still feels like playing season mode to me. A score ticker during games would have helped alot.

When a team whens the nba championship do you even remember or pay attention to them the next season in myleague? Watching the nba you always know. Little things can make this mode explode.

Back to my original point. Why did 2k (employee) create a nba 2k20 myleague/mygm wishlist thread if no wishes were going to be granted? I just had to rant cause although myleague is amazing at customization some of its features are filled with bugs and I personally find it boring.

I'd 100% be okay if MyLeague was the same and the kinks/bugs were ironed out.

I guess the main thing I think it's lacking is just coaching overall

I completely understand your frustration, especially as a MyLeague only offline player. However, they have followed the wish-list here since 2k15 so (sadly) MyLeague users were due for a year like this. I'm still holding out hope that there's some news in there that we they didn't fill us in on. I know in the past that they have said that some things are expected to be worked every iteration and that's why they don't mention them in the blogs.

My guess to your question about why the thread was created was probably just to continue getting ideas (even if they aren't implemented). At the very least maybe they get put on the board for consideration in a future game. Not that you're saying this, but I don't think it's fair to say that they didn't listen to us if they miss one year out of five... I'm not saying this as a way to take up for them as much as I am just me realistic about the situation.... With that said if next year is the same then I would be more concerned.

Regarding MyGM, I can be happy for those users since that mode hasn't gotten a ton of focus over the past few years. I'll probably never play it but if they eventually let some MyLeague control leak into MyGM then I'd love it. I know it kind of goes against the spirit of the mode (MyGm) but I'd love more life in MyLeague with conversions, demands, goals, etc. However, I like to micromanage things too much to ever lose all control. The modes being combined (at least somewhat) was on my Wish-list last year and will go in it again.

You make a lot of valid points, but FWIW, I think the bolded would more likely appear in a presentation/commentary blog rather than franchise blog. Still wouldn't expect that stuff until proven otherwise though.

Oh yeah, I know... Basically, we're in the same boat but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Again just my guess, but I'm willing to bet that the suits have more say than the devs in regards to what makes it in each year or maybe they just collectively decided to have a heavy focus on MyGM in 2K20. Whatever is the case, I think that the thread was created with good intentions and the passed few years have shown that they do use the wishlist... Unfortunately, (unless they surprise us - which I'm not holding my breath about) it just didn't work out for us this year.

It is a weird feeling because normally the MyLeague Blog knocks my socks off and I'm so hyped and ready for the new game. But as of right now, 2K20 just doesn't look like a purchase for me. Part of the reason is because I'm actually still playing my 2k19 MyLeague almost daily and I don't want to give up on it yet... if something from 2K20 gives me something to be excited about, then I'd move on but it that doesn't appear to be the case... at least so far.
