Yeah we have to consider that if we want a different game, we might have to be open to different solutions. What if this also resolves guys doubling down and then unrealistically recovering to contest 3pters? [emoji1545][emoji1545][emoji1545]

Or if it deals with defenders going for chase-downs on every break away attempt?

Badges enhance your existing abilities. So for example if you add Unpluckable but have low Ball Handle it won’t save you from getting ripped. It will reduce the frequency a bit, but won’t make you the same as a good ball handler with the same badge.

Hmmmm...this kinda implies that the badges don't give a huge boost to ratings.

As badges should be. I've always though that badges in the past give an invisible +5-20 stat boost, 5 being bronze, 20 being HoF. Conditional ones like spark plug boost or microwave operate on some kind of algorithm that boosts stats in certain conditions.

Yeah, I remember. It seems like the badges are not going to be as generous with the boosts as they were in years past.

I think he's just trying to protect against big men with 40 ball-handling getting stripped and complaining that it shouldn't happen since they have Unpluckable.

Point being, badges will still help, probably as much as they usually did if I had to guess. It's just not enough to make up for someone being low rating wise.

But for example, it looks like Gold Steady Shooter takes what would usually be a 30% shot and makes it a 40% shot, so I think the badges will still have a pretty strong impact, just within reason.

The scary part is that someone would complain about getting ripped with a 40 ball-handling rating. It's like..."Dude! Did you really expect to be saucing with that low of a rating!?".

Whatever happened to knowing what your player is capable of doing and staying in your lane?

This should/should've been common sense. Badges enhance ratings (low and high) so there's no reason for a low rated skill to become that of a high rated skill simply because of a badge.

50 3pt skill shouldn't become that of a 90 because a HOF badge is added.

I really don’t understand why they can’t explain the impact of the badges more than just the simple vague descriptions. Like why couldn’t Wang have been specific in responding about dimer/floor general? It’s so weird.
