Making the same player as SG gives you more badge upgrades (as you have more attribute points to spend) but attribute wise they are basically the same.

There are some differences in the default physicals too.

Yeah what I was saying is that same height/weight/wing still gives out the same player no matter the position, like old 2K.

There could be differences with badges, I can give you that, didn't happen for me tho.

No one's trying to make a demi God build...

We just want balance.

If all the elite scorers are at guard what's the point of even bothering making any other position?

3-5 are just role players? We put time and money in to watch our guards do all the work for us?

I always play as a forward or center..I can tell you easily that they screwed us so far.

Totally agree with you there, I always play as a 3 or 5 cause that's what I like and was comparing my 2k19 builds to the ones this year and it's a massive L everywhere, badges, attributes.... like if you're not a sharpshooting playmaker guard don't even bother with it.

Better have some really good defensive badges and attributes .

Going by the gameplay in the Demo and all the new badges they put in, it honestly feels like they nerfed defending while beefing up shooting and finishing.

My opinion on defensive attributes and badges has always been that it’s better to compensate for poor defensive attributes with user skill than it is to compensate for poor scoring or passing attributes with user skill. If the developers had the same line of thinking I can sort of understand the lack of attention to defensive badges.

My only issue comes when players are rewarded for having high shooting attributes but poor skills. I don’t play online so I’ll never have to encounter people with 90 rated three pointers using things like HOF flexible release, hot zone hunter, deadeye and green machine but the inevitable gameplay changes that come with that filter down to offline too so I have to take opposition to it.

Me and my buddy were doing some math and a guy with a 70 3 pointer could easily be lethal .

Imagine HOF catch n shoot , from dimer HOF , floor general HOF , + boosts .

Can y'all make a 6'10 center that has 80+ in post, 75+ in rebounding and defense and freethrow with balanced athleticism? And post a screenie here? It'd be much appreciated. Cannot get my hands on either demo or the game for almost 2 months so I'd appreciate it a lot.

Just to play devil’s advocate for a second...

You could make this build and have 30 shooting badges and 10 defensive badges at 6’11. You can even get a rim protector takeover (I laughed as I typed that). This is hands down the cheesiest build and to your point is the only build above 6’7 that can dominate.

No post scorer, rim or glass is nearly as dominate as this build. I hesitated to even post it but I’m sure there is a video out about it already. Hopefully there are some huge adjustments to Bigs at launch. IMG_0246.jpg

Why does the defense have to have all the stick skills in the world to be effective, but the offense have a bunch of badges to compensate for every lack of skill they have?

The offense got badges that helps with the mistiming of a shot release. The defense has...?

Yea the 3pt shooting will be even worse this year. In 2k19 I hit 60% from 3pt and rarely missed corner 3s with silver badges, no boosts and a 65 open 3pt attribute. HOF catch n shoot, flexible release, corner specialist and quick draw will make will make another build extremely cheesy at Center. This or the previous Rim Protecting Pure Stretch I posted along with a play sharp will flood the park and dominate 2s. Get ready for speed boosting iso with a stretch standing in the corner.

Really hope some changes are made because I don’t want to join the cheese but if online play will determine if I hit 99, then I have to level the playing field.

The guys on here complaining that only guards can be elite are delusional... The problem is you all want big men who can shoot, dribble, score in the post, dunk at will, rebound and defend. You HAVE to sacrifice something. Decide the 2-3 things you want to do most and make your player. It’s like you want these big men to have guard skills while also being a dominant presence inside and on defense.

The guards are sacrificing something too. No guard build is gonna have size, speed, athleticism, be a knockdown shooter, lockdown defender, outstanding playmaker, good rebounder and good finisher inside. But that seems like that’s what the whole “3-5’s are being limited to role players” crowd is suggesting for their player. Nobody wants to watch your 7 footer momentum behind the back into half court 3’s while also being able to dunk on everyone and lock everyone up at Will. Pick the couple things you wanna be good at and do it. I made a big and a guard in the demo and they wore BOTH amazing

Still puzzled that they added a badge that lowers impact on mistiming a shot. They added a lot of Offensive badges that helps those without skill.
If Intimidator isn't a powerful badge, then it will be 3pt fest
