Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
would be the best option.
any luck on the post build?
my 7`0 interior force is pretty decent since its only 74 overall.
need to up block and rebounding and i should be able to do a decent job in JRC.
BTW played 2 JRC games and it feels like the difficulty is on Pro or so lol.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Actually being a ball handler I can see myself on the wing.
That's why I excluded corner specialist.
Not really interested in quick draw, while I like flexible release cause it can help with the occasional pull off 3/J too.
Pretty hard to decide without hard data on how all these badges work.Comment

I’m not convinced yet. I Think i might have ****ed up by forgoing shooting entirely.
But without badges its difficult to say this yearComment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
I've finally found a good MyCareer method so I'm hoping badges will come rather quick now. I barely get any badge progress in the park. SMHComment

Don't make a bigman under 7'3
I made a 6'11 paint beast at center figuring the speed difference would net more fastbreak opportunities and better positioning against the larger guys. but in true 2k fashion speed for a bigman is useless.
Despite having 30 more speed then every 7'3 big men(70 vs 38), We still run the same on fast breaks, I believe there is something fundamentally wrong with sprinting, There has to be a minimum speed setting or something. I was hoping that big men would also have a cap on stamina but everyone can get 90+ stam.
max weight bigs should cap at 70 stam and selectively sprint, instead the patch buffed stam and rendered my build and hard earned money useless competitively.
Before anyone chimes in claiming stick skills, I made a 7'3 center with a 60 overall and got a double double(14pts,25reb) in rec with 5 assists and no badges. I was catching up to small forwards on the break and shorter big men no problem. I needed gatorade one time in the last quarter and that's after sprinting the whole game.
I highly recommend making an interior force center, you can still defend because well....you're 7'3 but youll be able to score after getting boards unlike glass-locks because the standing dunk and post moves.
Anyother center build is moot aside from a great stretch 5.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Imo best build in the game if you have the right mentality in the game....you can make people quit and embarrass them....you have all defense in 90s...i get so many steal snd just shot guys down completley...you really impact the game...
Ingad 20 17 10 and 7 steals game today in rec.Comment

not a mistake , but design. Never happened before that they change archetype build caps after release. Without full build refund option it won't happen.Comment

Joel Embiid Build
As a diehard Sixers fan, I was obviously going to make an Embiid build this year. I finally messed around with a few big man builds to get Embiid as the top comparison. Other comps were Alonzo Mourning 2nd and Al Horford 3rd I believe
C
Shooting / Defending pie chart
Balanced Physical pie chart
Slashing: Put the rest of your points in close shot and/or standing dunk
Shooting: MAX (minus a few points for free throws to maintain max badges)
Playmaking: MAX (minus a few points for passing to maintain max badges)
Defense: MAX (minus a few points for steals to maintain max badges)
Slashing: 1 Badge
Shooting: 17 Badges
Playmaking: 10 Badges
Defense: 23 Badges
If you choose to max slashing over playmaking, you only get 3 slashing badges and 1 playmaking so I went the other route (I don't plan on slashing/scoring inside much anyway)
6'11 with a 92" wingspan, max weight is probably what I'll roll with for a few key stats:
70 3
90 interior defense
90 block
80 off reb
87 def reb
I don't love the 59 lateral quickness, but I primarily play Park and I think I can maintain wing players / stretches by bumping them with my 90+ strength if needed.
Looking for thoughts on this build - I'm definitely trying to make a Joel Embiid player as my 2nd guy / big guy I use.
For what it's worth, currently running with a 6'5 playmaking slasher (incredibly fun Park build so far) with following badge slots:
Slashing: 13
Shooting: 13
Playmaking: 28
Defense: 9
Went 17-2 last night (lost twice mainly to teammates missing wide open 3s because they don't have many shooting badges) and I get ZERO progression badge and attribute points lol
Edit: Has anyone figured out a Ben Simmons Build where he's listed as a comparison?Last edited by garyraymond23; 09-10-2019, 02:10 PM.Comment
