I really regret putting points in defensive rebounding over blocking for my guard. the only reason I did it is because I would get more badges for it. but it's so clear that having more points towards blocks would be so much more helpful for me
what I currently got is 15 finishing, 11 shooting, 28 playmaking, and 9 defense
if I put points into maxing block instead, I'll only get 6 defensive badges but I can add 1 playmaking badge. so basically, -3 defense +1 playmaking, and maxed out blocks would be the plus for this
But I guess those 3 badges could be useful...I already plan on having gold clamps and intimidator and the other three would go to pick dodger and something else. but *** **** there are definitely times I miss having higher block rating because the rebounding one is kind of useless with all the glass cleaners out there anyways
right now I'm about halfway on this build for badges. I couuuuuuuuld hit the reset button now or live with this the rest of the year...
Now, something I do miss having with the way that I attack the rim is offensive rebounding.. My favorite player I've ever had on 2K was 6'8 Point Forward on 2k17? because I could afford to sometimes take bad shots at the rim at the cost of being able to get my own rebound and reset the play. If my pure playmaker's offensive rebound would have maxed out higher this year I probably would have went that way instead of defensive rebound. However, my team right now is running a modified 1-3-1 and I may only get 1-2 rebounds a game BUT there are times that he is able to get his hand on the ball and nudge it loose from a glass/rim and allow our Center to secure the rebound which feels invaluable when it actually happens.Comment

Just get the rim protector badge. Even having it on bronze lets you track the ball better on block attempts and gets you the height necessary to actually block the ball.
Also, depending on how tall your guy is, all you need is bronze rebound chaser and you'll snag rebounds, so long as your teammate actually boxes out the opposing big man.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Hi all. I'm pretty new to 2k and have a question regarding dunking.
On my glass cleaner (red pie) I have a potential driving dunk of 50 & a standing dunk of more than 75, which I believe gives me the chance to get big man contact dunks.
I was just wondering if I have totally messed up my build by not getting a higher driving dunk? I put some points into playmaking because I thought it would be a good idea to get some upgrades in Unpluckable & Break Starter.
I'm now past the all-star break and am having a lot of fun in MyCareer but would like to play some park too. However I'm not even sure I'll be doing a lot of driving dunks anyway as I am so slow (7"3)
I don't mind restarting if it's important, but if I did I guess I would go for red/orange or even red/green instead. I'm also wondering if being 7"3 is a good thing or not.
Cheers for any help!Comment

I made a dummy player to answer trivia because my other player was in the middle of a game. I noticed my player had carried over the same clothes from my real player....and then I looked in park rep. noticed that carried over too.
so it looks like we finally might have a universal profile?? am I tripping? This is HUGE. Because every year I've gotten so tired of dividing my efforts and I never make it to rep to get to mascot because I make 3-4 other players
so once I finish my point guard, I can make a big man and level up with it in rec/park and still get progress for rep? wow please tell me I'm not bull****ting myself
Yes, rep and clothes are sharedComment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
i made 7'1 paint threat cuz i love post moves, but they are not so good online(rec) cuz there are allways 2 7'3 bigs camping the paint, so i cant do any post moves
it would prolly be better for park with more space, just need to get that one badge for shoting and maybe il be able to hit middie with 60 ptComment
