I'm not exactly an expert but I would imagine it'd take a lot of time to make a dynamic story that would go on for years. My personal preference is to not really have much of a story but to have random things that happen to you that you have to adjust to like being traded or drafted to a team you don't want. I still think The Show has the best career mode of any sports game imo. I'm not even a baseball guy but I buy the show every other year or so just to play the career mode.

I agree whole heartedly, the grind of the summer league and then minors makes getting to the MLB feel like a true reward.

I will say, last years Prelude was the best “Storyline” I’ve played in a sports game to date. So I’m really looking forward to this.

This has gone way off topic at this point. People need to stop crying about the social issues point, especially since we have virtually no idea how it’s even going to manifest in the game considering the only issue we’ve had hinted at is the NCAA not securing student athletes in the case of serious injuries.

It's not "semantics." It's literally two different scenarios. The media is giving him credit for funding a school. In reality, he contributed. Again, it's a great gesture--and more money than I have given, but it's not just semantics.

Would this school exist without him taking the lead? Did he have a part in designing the school to fit the particular needs of that community?

Do you know how much it would cost to fund an entire private school without charging tuition to it's student (which is the whole point of this endeavor)?

In a gaming landscape where microtransactions and loot boxes are generally seen as unacceptable, I don't understand how NBA 2k gets a pass every year (especially considering how slimy they are in their past games).*

They get a pass because the general population lets them. If their consumer base stopped paying for VC they would be forced to look elsewhere for income. We both know that that is not the case

I went to the school several weeks ago and what he (LeBron) is doing with resources and educators who are thinking outside the box is heartwarming and legacy changing. In working with kids that are in the bottom 25% percentile in the Akron school system is a challenge but much needed resource in the community!

I’ve actually been thinking about my builds. I’ve always been a playmaking small forward but couldn’t adapt to it at all last year and ended up as a post scoring power forward as my main build.

But now with the new motion engine and the emphasis on mismatches I’m thinking about trying out point for the first time since like 2K11 and retrying my usual small forward build.

Guess I’ll be able to figure this all out tomorrow and I’m excited just for that.
