I appreciate the edifying response, especially its length. I look forward to the attributes and tendencies.

As for the playbook, I completely understand where you're coming from. Typically, I play a MyLeague with a friend who runs a D'Antoni inspired offense but with bigs and tall multipositional wings that can shoot. I like the idea of 4-12 plays per type; I'll implement that in accordance with my guys' hot zones while taking his players outside of the paint and slowing the game down.

EDIT: The main triangle attributes are shot IQ, pass IQ, mid range, close shot, draw foul, defensive consistency, and pick n roll IQ right?

Not in 2K. I think from an attribute standpoint Defensive Consistency is always huge. But for a high usage SG like Kobe touches and postup tendencies are more important than any of those when looking to get the 5-star rating. Also it is way easier to improve your attributes than your tendencies in MyLeague/MyGM.

Very grateful I came across this thread. Thank you for this. Implementing the Triangle into my MyCareer, might get me to finally play MyLeague.

I'd love if someone had some modern playbooks to share even if as starting point.

Loved Triangle back in 2k17 when i played myleague the most and now that i've bought the game again i'd love to implement it with my hornets in first season

For Bigs, high touch and post up tendencies are a big factor. I’ve been able to get Smalls 5-stars by just working on skills.

                Hi taildog,

Can you update the training regime to NBA 2K20 for the team and player training?

With that said I’ve had a little time to jump back into 2K lately. I put the game down for the past few months due to a plethora of reasons IRL and the lack of a traditional MyGM mode this year (I’ve actually even thought about starting a WNBA season...seriously). System proficiency has been improved this year so I was actually looking forward to running a squad out there with a 5-star rating something we couldn’t do in years past. Guess I’ll have to settle for MyLeague.

Internet in my complex is [emoji90] so live streams aren’t my thing but I’m open to suggestions on what to add to the thread. I’m thinking that on Saturday I can post a few 2K19 CAPs I made for MyGM draft classes with ratings and tendencies ideal for the Triangle System. My thing was trying to create a player type with a 5-star proficiency rating but with the lowest overall rating. I will probably dust off some old training routines too for progression too.

Anyway, I’m back and want to know what type of content you’d like me to share...
I would be interested in some of those create a players if you wanted to share. love to recreate them in 2k20. or could i get their DNA?

Sorry guys. My Xbox is all packed up. I’ve been on an overseas assignment and now heading back to the states. Once I get there and have a chance to
                    unpack I’ll post them here.

Re: NBA 2K20 - OFFICIAL TRIANGLE SYSTEM THREAD

since i couldnt find a SG in myLeague who had a triangle proficiency over 3 (actually there were 2 people... a SG who was 34 who had a 4.5 but wanted 30mil a year as a FA and 32yo who had a 4 who wanted about the same), i decided to do an experiment. I am using the training regime that i found earlier in this thread (I think it was from 2k19 so i cant to tweak it a bit) and i got Kobe's rookie DNA since he was only a 76 coming out. i signed backup SG who is 6'6 230 SG/SG and i updated just his attributes from the DNA. I tweaked him a little by making him a little bit less kobe like. I changed some of his signature moves but left the stats, badges and tendencies alone. I signed him to a 4 year deal so i think by the time his contract comes up. He will be a star. He will be the back up this year and i expect him to be my starter next year. I also ran some create a players till i got a SF who ended up being a 3 proficiency as well to be his scottie pippen/rick fox. I signed him as a rookie free agent. i am going to go with them for a few years and see what happens. I already won the championship last year with a 4 proficiency team. I have a 2 year PF who compared to horace grant coming out. He was a 3 year overseas project who i trained in untapped potential each year so he came into the league a 87 and is a 92 beast now.

i have been playing and simming a whole lot. my kobe clone is in year 3 and is a 88. we are in the playoffs. we have won the chip every year. i cant get above a 4.5 proficiency (currently a 4 with my team). My SF who is playing my scottie/lamar/rick role is unhappy because he is the 3rd leg. I will probably lose him. my PF is also a FA. I am going to try to sign him back. he is little bit more optimistic. Its funny how you can be top 5 in the league and win multiple championships and people are still unhappy. i am thinking of starting over with an expansion team and edit the coach to a triangle coach. do something similar where i make a kobe clone and maybe a scottie clone and a toni kukoc clone. everyone in the 70s and build from there. or try to create my own triangle CAP.

Hey man I’m new to the community, but I think I’ve finally found the one place on the Internet with answers to my questions lol.

What attributes and tendencies improve a player’s proficiency in the Triangle system? The game isn’t too clear on this, so I was curious to see, but couldn’t find a good answer anywhere.
I have a PS4 so I can’t look at your rosters, but could you just list out the main attributes and tendencies that affect triangle proficiency?

You should be able to find your answer in this thread. In my humble opinion, the post game attributes and attack on iso tendencies will be key in running the triange. Players with strong passing attribute should help too as triangle requires passing into the low block or pressure release at the pinch post.

One thing i did was looked at the triangle development and used those stats when i am determining who is a good triangle candidate. you can find it further up in the thread.

Am I able to put all of these plays into one playbook and have the ultimate triangle offense?

I wish the plays weren't sorted by play type so each play could be ran in the order of what you posted. So the offense is more unpredictable.

I'm just getting into the play/freelance aspect of the game. I want to recreate the triangle with rookie tmac & another rookie future all star(not sure who the 2nd is gonna be. I keep going back and forth with tons of different variations. Kirilenko, Marion, artest for a bulls type triangle or a hof big like shaq/hakeem/robinson/KG/TD for Lakers type triangle)
