It seems like many others, I enjoyed the earlier (11-13) 2K games as far as My Career.I don't enjoy the repeated uninspired variations of the "Prospect that looked good then something happened, now he's the underdog" story; I want to go out and make my own story.
At this point the cutscenes have become an annoyance for me, how many times do I have sit through the same interview with D.A.,Shaq,Kenny, or some random reporter?Now I might be in the minority here....honestly I'd rather have procedurally generated text only interviews,pres conferences,etc. that actually react to what is going on with My Player and the NBA world I am a part of than the same handful of voice acted cutscenes over and over....and over...
I particularly enjoyed 2K11's more realistic, no frills approach in this regard.Not that 11 didn't have its downsides...the conversation was often somewhat cryptic, where a button which looks like it would make you say a humble "Thank you" instead makes your guy go a grandiose rant about how he's already the greatest ever to play the game.Repeating that Dribble Cone Drill over and over until RNG finally gave me a Speed upgrade still gives me nightmares.
