I dont wanna keep posting without pics so ill put one up just to keep this thread on topic

...but all games have a minimum spec sheet of what it takes to run the game. People even buy gaming laptops which cant be upgraded.

You just get a budget together and get the parts, doesnt even have to be at once. You have low end, mid range and high end (which is more future proofed), but anything from mid range to high end can run 2k at a nice graphical and fps bump over consoles pretty easy.

They’re almost all PC...... not sure why they don’t create a thread in the designated PC section but I digress......

In fact console hardware is outdated when it releases.

There are plenty of other games to experience on PC though because companies dont only release it on just the 2 console platforms.

More Frames per second, better visuals, mods (like when they created the full existence of the NBA in NBA2k12) including all olympic teams and all all star squads... cannot be done on the console platform.
Yeah I get that it would be a much better experience, I just don't really game much outside of 2K.. So I've never fully committed to jumping on the PC train for just one game.

Just an FYI, and I'll include a screenshot so we can stay consistent here (it being a screenshot thread). You certainly dont need to spend $2000, or even $1000 on a PC in order to run these games. Some cyberpower gaming PCs that run around $600 will allow you to run these games well, I have a buddy who has one, that's all he paid and he could run 2K19 on high.

I reccommend getting a tower (desktop pc) anyway, because of overheating issues with laptops, and lack of customization options, etc. I have my desktop hooked right up to my 50 inch tv via HDMI, and use an xbox one wireless controller to play. Obviously if you wanted to "future proof" your PC, you may want to spend a little more so you can get a slightly better graphics card and processor. But, for this generation of 2Ks, you certainly don't need to spend anywhere close to $2000, that's a myth. And, I doubt for the next generation that you would need to spend close to $2000.

Nothing wrong with console gaming, I just cant go back after joining the PC crowd in 2013. Between the scoreboards, roster mods, updates to players, floors, arenas, creations of new floors, etc etc etc. It just adds another dimension to the experience, and helps with the immersion (which also allows the game to stay fresh).

I may do a thread on this in the PC section, and list my setup and more about the PC versions/modding in general.

I can only take yalls word for it cause I’m not a pc guy but I’ve looked around thinking of switching and every list of top gaming PCs was well over $1,000, generally 1300-2000 dollars

You dont need a top gaming PC, you need a gaming PC.

This one below is $599 and it would run the game on high. I would be SHOCKED if it didnt, I believe this is the same specs (maybe even the same PC) as my buddy has.

They have an upgraded one (a bit better) for $100 more.

The point is, not only do you not need a "top gaming PC", but you dont need to break the bank to get into PC gaming.

More expensive to get started than console, but not as expensive as a lot of people tend to say it is. Look at the reviews on this PC and what people are saying.

Yep this PC is powerful enough to run 2k among other applications if you want to use them like photoshop or other editing software as well as the rest of the stuff you do on a computer.
