First game since update. D seems better and double teams are coming from the right spot with better depth and movement. Seeing better movement on CPU offense too.

Re: NBA 2K20 Available Now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Post Impressions Here
Got the game yesterday, played a few games (offline, play now) and I'm loving the gameplay so far. Started in a scrimmige mode to get my bearings and after a minute or so I was thinking "wow, this looks and feels great" (I felt similarly when it comes to the 5 on 5 part of the demo).
I think one of the things that impressed me the most right of the bat (outside of the movement) was how the stars played. Played with the Spurs against the Celtics and Kemba's speed was a problem, even against a good defender like Murray. On the other hand I was able to punish him on the other end of the floor a few times and was also able to smother him with Murray's size on some key possessions. It felt great.
I've also played using the Suns (hey, at least they've got a solid starting 5 now!) against the Bucks and oh man...Giannis literally destroyed the Suns and had a dunkfest. It felt great because they have no one to stop him and had Saric or Kaminski (!) guard him at the start. He was so aggressive and dominant and I've never seen video game Giannis play so similar to real life Giannis in a game before (haven't played 2K19). I've put Ayton on him, but that didn't change much. The only time I had some real success if when I fouled him when he was gathering steam in transition (again, just like in the NBA) or made some smart double teams but it clearly showed me you gotta have a gameplan in mind and play smart defense.Last edited by MacD; 09-12-2019, 02:34 AM.Comment

Man I hope in the upcoming patch that they address the lack of transition D after a shot or rebound, they don't get back on D and theirs always a man streaking the middle for a easy layup..
This is frustrating to go coast to coast with your PG hit the baseline for a easy lay...
C'mon where's the defense and this is on superstar level..

The game is changing pretty much every day but I’m really enjoying it. Seems like they did something about the timeouts too in the last few days.
My only main gripe is the ****ty replay system. You would’ve thought they would’ve changed it by now smhh

Wife surprised me with the game yesterday. Don't really fox with MyTeam, but dabbled and bought a pack. Didn't hate it. Got my feet wet. Then went into a MyLeague and played Lakers vs Clippers on 12 minutes. Man, George and Leonard were nightmares. LeBron was possessed through most of the game. AD was dominating on defense. Squeeked out a 2 point win. Then went to Play Now with Brooklyn against Utah and Kyrie was a different animal than Rondo. The difference in players with style, badges, and all of that was noticable. Gameplay was really well and never felt cheap on Superstar. Being forced to have specific defensive matchups is another layer to the onion. I will dabble with MyCareer over the weekend, but gameplay is damn good, for me. I haven't finished many 12 minute games in the past few years, but knocked out two last night. Did another test game of the Lakers and Clippers in MyLeague and set up my defense from jump and blew them out. I also enjoy the slower pace and shooting animations. Fastbreaks were a bit odd and the double team logic is a bit wacky, but I enjoyed it.

I was actually about to compliment it, lol
I have mine set to 'often' and I actually enjoy watching the replays this year...
I haven't watched any of the Signature Highlights though I wonder if they are still choppyComment

What's your gripe with the replay system? Just curious.

I personally think replays and highlights should happen at the end of the quarter or during timeouts and dead ball situations.
And they’ve made no update to the signature highlights at all. That’s kind of unacceptable lol

You think so? I like it better this way. I mean it’s definitely an adjustment, but it seems easier to get some type of play going. Whether that be early offense or floppy. It’s cool to me.

Two minor non gameplay things I would like to see changed.
-When I go into a game, it sometimes forgets my custom audio preferences and defaults every audio slider to 100, which is ear shattering.
-Since 2KTV has it's own section on the main menu, can we get back the option to not watch it when the game is loading (I'd rather watch the pre-game show)? Could we at least have the option to only watch the episode once instead of having it on continual loop? After a while I get tired of seeing the same segments over and over.Last edited by MrWrestling3; 09-12-2019, 10:21 AM.Comment
