more time with the game-took me a long time to finally be able to play good solid defense.

IMO, now its the best 2k since NBA2k16.

slight annoyances is the play calling.
doesn't matter what you do if you manually call plays it will take roughly 4-5 seconds off the shot clock, maybe longer, especially if you like to use alot of your plays.

if this makes sense, this 2k is not easier than the past versions/but I do find myself winning alot more games than previous versions of 2k.

its not a game for noobs even on the rookie levels. thats because playing defense takes alot of time to get used to. defense stance/squaring up and moving is harder than it has to be.

I like the shooting with the shot stick.
I hate that they changed the passing mechanics on the sticks, even though the passes are more fluid, especially bounce passes. threading a perfectly timed bounce pass through traffic is beautiful.

collisions, the different drive animations, etc are all very fluid this year.
player movement is improved.

I have not noticed any clipping so far.

you have to know x's and 0's of basketball to truly take advantage of NBA2k, especially in a mygm/my league mode.

Is anyone else having this problem every time I load the game it keeps crashing and restarts to the main screen? I cant even play a play now game or my franchise what has happen to 2k?

Having the same thing happen a lot...... I literally can’t watch a 2Ktv episode, it does it every time

The rookies I draft never seem to progress as quickly as the CPU rookies. I use the mentor ship stuff too and give them solid playing time. Not many have an A potential but I’ve had rookies with A- and getting more than a 5 point improvement out of anyone seems very difficult (and this is over 3-4 years).

Are there any tricks to see more improvement from the drafted kids over time?

This game truly has the worst control I've ever played in a video game lmao.

I know Live fanboys always said 2K had no control in their game, and I always laughed at the statement but this is the year where I feel it's legit.

I thought 17 was the worst 2K game but even that game felt 10x smoother than this game. This game is slow, clunky, and unresponsive as hell.

Yup at this point.. I've full stopped playing. I was ok a once a week play or when I get in a Mode. I haven't played in about 2-3 weeks now.

I agree, I recently reinstalled 2k14 on my laptop with the latest mods and I enjoy it more, it just feels better on the sticks and that's so important. And there is no shot meter, green splash effect, takeover icons all the lights on the court etc.

I recently purchased the game, so my experience is very limited, but I agree on the control. I couldn't believe what I was playing as this didn't feel like the 2K games of old that I enjoyed so much. Couple that with bad teammate AI on defense (I saw teammates run away from the guy with the ball on an odd-man break) and other wonkiness, I'm trying to figure out how I'm actually going to enjoy this game.

Sliders and ATD roster is just about the only way

Lol, I do think the game is clunky but losing really makes everything feel 10x worse than it actually is.

It definitely doesn't have the worst controls in a video game ever. That's just me being emotional again after having someone drop 40 on me with James Harden LOL.

Gotcha I only ask because sliders have helped my experience so much when it comes to the movement and stuff plus the ATD roster...... but I know a lot of modes aren’t customizable in that way

May I ask which sliders, because movement, especially on defensive end, is really bothering me.
