Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
The moving screen: I like it because it is a non-steal turnover... it can be prolific, but there is a slider.
Anyway, Memphis's Jaren Jackson just got one against Orlando (me). The usual routine until I hear the referee reporting the call to the scorer's table. I thought I heard him say "chicken wing". I instant-replayed and sure enough: Jackson raised his right arm in a chicken wing motion to impede the defender. Beautiful! This is the kind of nuance I love!Comment

Yeah Mackrel829! I play MyLeague but it is likely in the same place in other modes. Go to "Options" toward the bottom after you pause the game; then "CPU/User Sliders"; "Fouls" is the fifth section toward the bottom. This section can be accessed pregame as well.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
The pregame tunnel walk reminds me of the pregame scenes from NFL 2K5. The scenes are corny and a little cheesy but in a good way... most people are corny and a little cheesy when they know they are being watched by a camera. So, realism points all around!Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
That cool in all. But it takes away from the point of not knowing a jumper is going in. Like it's literally driving me crazy. Seeing green release energy like they just went Super Saiyan or something weird power up. That should have been on by default. But the option to turn it off. You want to talk about feeling real and looking real. I really wish there was zero HUD at times.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
I might have missed this as well from last year. Maybe someone can confirm. But were players pointing to the rim for alley oops? Or is that a badge connected animation? I was playing the Lakers online. After the the game. I just noticed (in a replay) that AD was cutting to the basket and pointed to the rim asking for the oop. It look so seamless. I'll post tomorrow if recorded.

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
Yesterday I had a perfect off-the-court sequence during MyCareer.
I was the Lakers dominating the warriors at halftime (something like +15).
At the horn Kevin Harlan started talking about how bad GSW was losing while the camera was on Steph face that looked totally pissed.
And right then David Aldrige interviewed Steph who said that the lakers hit some tough shots but GSW should start to defend better in the 2nd half.
I was "wow"...Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
I traveled big time with Nurkic in the post. No call but faintly in the crowd you can hear someone yelling TRAAAAAVEELLLL. I know this was in for many years but when crowd noise matches the scenario perfectly , its awesome.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
Totally agree: I have wondered for years why this file or subroutine is not grown each new edition. If the development team added 3-5 "cat-calls" per year the game would be that much richer; Skyrim modders have done this well by cutting and pasting to create new or varied dialogue in that game. Similar to your point, so many NBA players over the years have commented on the fan/crowd knowledge of the game in arenas like Boston and New York.Comment
