be specific. not over powered centers. over powered Defender Rebounding centers. I told you guys this. and its back this year. it is taking the fun out of the game for bigs with any other build.

Why are you blaming squads, why not the randoms? It's not the squad's fault most randoms are dumpster juice at the game. Are you communicating?

Besides, Pro AM is really no better when you have to go against 5 out starting at a certain rank. Jordan Rec is simply more fun because you don't have to deal with sweaty tryhards playing 5 out and setting the same screen.

Yeah, a couple years back we'd do rec games as a squad just because it was relaxed and fun. You weren't running into people trying to exploit builds and double screen with brick wall the shooter at the top all day.

I really wish people didn't put so much stock into these leaderboards and rankings.

I was talking to a friend who was a member of our squad and I was saying 2k14 park was more enjoyable because no one cared about record. You got on and tried to dethrone the guys with then 10 plus streak. Now I feel like people duck the competition for the sake of building up a meaningless win% in the grand scheme of things

The internet is really to blame if you think about it.

Back in the day you would go to forums to find all of the overpowered strategies. Now you go to youtube. It's just the nature of the beast. People love the sport but don't actually want to replicate it. They just want easy wins.

The game can only do so much to make guys play actual basketball.

We get it, you're not good enough for pro am, but it's pretty lame you gotta beat up on uncoordinated teams of randoms. Should be groups of 2 max allowed

At minimum fix the matchmaking. Another year of lopsided matchups. I'm done running with trash randoms. If I have to wait longer, so be it, it's worth it.

2K doesn't care about matchmaking, so we pretty much have 2 options: Crappy Record (randoms) or Crappy Wait Times (getting a team together).

How is matchmaking in Pro Am this year? Last year was garbage as you'd face elite 2 teams in your first game as a team and that's why squads ran in rec so often.

If Pro Am matchmaking works properly this year and you actually play the appropriate level team people will play that more and you'll come across squads less often in rec.

Well considering Pro Am is broken out of the gate seemingly every cycle I'm glad they don't put restrictions on this.

Maybe match-up two teams of five more often?

playing in europe this is definitely the biggest issue we face.

I can get on the mic and try and give constructive feedback (stay on your man// switch with me) and they can just simply not understand what I'm saying.

I'm bilingual but there are like hundreds of languages in europe alone let alone all the imported languages lol

They should definitely have a rec centre option where there are no squads allowed, or at least cap it at 2. As I feel the randomers are hurt by the squads on their own teams as much as playing teams of 5.

Are you communicating....cmon man lol. Majority of the players in JRC don't have a mic plugged in. If you play on PS4 then you know game chat is TERRIBLE. You're pretty much talking to yourself the whole time.

People don't wanna play sweaty try hards in Pro-Am but will be a sweat try hard beating up on randoms in JRC. The main thing that kills me is the excessive flopping and taunting that goes on throughout the game. The minute you tell a JRC 5 to matchup in team PRO-AM there's always an excuse...

I personally didn't have an issue with it last year because we could go in 2 or 3 deep and be fine. Doesn't look like you stand a chance this year. From the 2 games we played where we didn't have at least 4 we got 30 pieced and barely won to a sorry team in OT.

We sometimes thought about going into the rec center because we did not find any opponents in proam.

Played a game where I got frozen out until the final 2 seconds of a 45 point blowout win.

Dudes even had the cheek to call timeouts as soon as they accidentally passed the ball to me.

Yet if I quit, I am the one who gets the L and the bad DNF.

The 2k community/people are the problem here tbh.

It's kind of sad but if I'm running solo then I just use those games to practice my offensive positioning and defensive technique.

If I can get my spacing down with people that run around like headless chickens then I "should" be able to play with anyone.

Maybe I was harsh. I haven't played Rec with my official crew yet, but they posted screen shots of winning by like 25 and 30 points. 50 points is crazy.

I've played against squads in Jordan Rec both with me and my squad and randoms. Running into sweaty tryhards in Jordan Rec was rare.
