FYI, you can downgrade to any version on PC if you dont want to play online.

I'm not taking sides but I do find it interesting from a sociological perspective that Mike Wang coming to 2k a few years back was hailed as revolutionary and the savior of the game.

My have times changed. Now so many don't trust him.

It was great. So it's good i wasn't dreaming and that was in for real. On that very note you can understand how footplanting got hit by bums.

Mike's still a stand up guy, though I don't always agree with the changes he's made based on Twitter feedback.

Unfortunately, we're just in this space where we know the game can be updated, so many are convinced he's tinkering with sliders hourly...

Just look. Mike off hand mentions that shooting will be addressed in the future and 5 minutes later everyones game has been transformed and they're hitting everything despite nothing actually being released, lol

I'd uninstall and test offline speed without the patch, but I don't want to run the risk of losing my roster. My opinion it hasn't been touched.

LD mentioned they're looking at improving speed differential anyway

offline payer only here and the game has felt more or less the same since day 1 to me. Even momentum is strong as ever

I am getting used to it compared to 19 but other than that it still feels great to me

don't know what people are upset about?

But then again I never play online

You answered your own question twice.

Its 2 different games. Playing against an AI is basically training wheels compared to the online portion where people look for every exploit and latency comes into play.

The speed differential being unnoticeable exists both online and offline. I think both parties should be able to agree it should be more prevalent.

I think 2K has some sort of glitch that some people experience and some don't pertaining to game speed. I've experience what i believe to be a speed issue from about NBA 2K17 to NBA 2K20. One day i'll boot up the game and it'll be a couple of touches faster than default, But then i'll go into a ML game and it'll be normal again. Lasts for 2-5 days then it's back to normal permanently. I've experienced this in every 2K since 2K17

I haven't seen the video, but it the still makes it look like the big was caught in a two player animation which would look fine if it was 2 6'5 dudes. Haven't they been around for a while?

I haven’t messed with the movement separation sliders this year which are 70/40 at default. Last year I ended up putting them at 99/1 to see greater separation between slow and fast players. With the new first step stuff I haven’t done it but I may play with that tomorrow.

That particular sequence didn't seem like a 2PA to me, it looked like the 28 speed guy was running with the speed of an 88 speed guy.

Ive been playing in blacktop with this issue a fair bit. The straight line speed is too fast, but the main issue is two player animations magnetising a slow big to a fast small. The forced hip ride was the problem in that vid.

Thankfully, bigs are slow laterally and struggle to change direction. But Ive been defending Kyrie with Boban in blacktop, and if I trigger a hip ride or a shot contest animation, Boban moves like he's a 6'2 guard.

This is a legacy issue and I don't think there's an easy fix.
