I don't really see a lot wrong with this tbh. You were well inside their half when receiving the ball, so the distance to the basket is only a couple of steps for each player. No one can create much separation over such a short distance.

Also, you have to receive a pass, then you have to gather the ball to make a play at the basket. Each of these things are going to slow you down. Whereas the defender is just running at full speed without having to make any other movements that would inhibit his speed.

The animation wasn't the cleanest or most aethetic looking thing I've ever seen, but otherwise this looks fine to me.

To avoid that kind of animation, move LS down (visually related) because in you push LS to the right (visually related) with turbo it triggers a double handed dunk. With a one hand dunk your player doesn't slow down the run

Speaking of Boban....guys like him should have there own animations. Why don't 2k mocap players like Boban? Mocap his rebounding and dunks and how he runs. Weight should really effect the types of animation given to players. I think 2k should think about doing that for centers for next year. The higher the weight you get animations like Boban.

One day i'll boot up the game and it'll be a couple of touches faster than default, But then i'll go into a ML game and it'll be normal again. Lasts for 2-5 days then it's back to normal permanently. I've experienced this in every 2K since 2K17
YES!!! You get me Dione. I feel exactly the same and that's one of the reasons, somethings is up with 2k coding in general and yes i feel exactly the same since 2k17 that speeds or maybe not only speeds but the blending of animations movement and their speeds and players acting different (such as some lighting fast teleportation like stuff happening, exact movements feeling different in terms of speed, weight etc.) and these changes may vary in different days all on 2K Offline modes NBA and 2KU and Blacktop etc.

I feel maybe it's related with digital copies or smt. I don't know but these ain't feel like coincidence.

Wow. 100/0 on the player movement sliders is a shock to the system. What I really like is his quick players get down the floor in transition without turbo. The governor is off. I also saw Luke Kennard getting killed by guys with speed lol. Played two games and have already adjusted. I like it.

It's good to know that this adjustment is available if 2K doesn't properly make the changes on their end.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

We both started running at the arc. With 40-50 more acc/speed, I should have been able to create SOME sort of separation by the time we reached the basket. Guys like Lopez and Boban are SLOW. In a foot race like that, they’ve lost in the few first few steps. Like I said, this wasn’t even close to the most glaring example I’ve seen. I can’t shake these giants in a full court sprint from under my own hoop.

I can tell you from experience that when a shot blocker is in your vicinity like in my video, the game basically ignores your input and sucks you into a canned two man animation. I have no dunks equipped that look like whatever my toon was trying to do there.

I like the 100/0 sliders but it moves a bit too fast. So I dropped acceleration down 5. Much better.

I know everyone seems to be obsessed with game speed but the acceleration slider has a much better impact imo. If you want to see more weight and less sliding then drop acceleration. I am convinced they boosted that (and not game speed) in one update. A change in 5 points to acceleration makes a big difference (offline anyways).

Personally, I like to put acceleration max at 80 so players can be explosive while still retaining some weight. I also set all of the With Ball Sliders 1 point lower so guys can't be faster with the ball than without.

I go 99/20 for all the movement sliders. Then I turn Acceleration to 35 (cant decide between 30 and 35). This made 2k19 a totally different game and it does the same with 2k20. It o0ens up the floor for more shooting and makes the extra pass more important. It also limits the effectiveness of slow bigs. On regular acceleration every big can shot and recover like a prime KG. When you turn it down to the 30s you can turbo around the floor on defense.

The problem is that weight actually SHOULDN'T effect the animations too much. Only the combination of weight, height, and ratings should change the animations. We know that IRL, someone who is taller and heavier will have more potential force, and will have more potential speed. This is why the fastest man "ever" is taller and heavier than most of his competition. 2K has just taken this way too far, and has made every tall and heavy guy play like they are superhuman. So, while I do agree that there needs to be some different animations for the big guys, the method of doing so would need to be tuned massively.

Over a full court distance they should certainly be left for dust, and I'm not saying its not an issue at all.

However, I do think people underestimate the speed you lose when making movements like catching, collecting, preparing to shoot, etc. You can't do that whilst running at full speed and it allows slower players to keep pace with you.

There's some good suggestions in this thread. I'm going to try a few and see what happens.
