The real problem is that the CPU ball-handler doesn't read that there is a defender in front of them. Rather than work the ball around or do movements to get around the defense, they drive straight thinking they are open. Those animations above are predetermined based on collision.

Do you think that collision settings could help ?

The left stick dribbling does not consider ballhandler ratings so any wing can be kyrie.

I've just begun to think that ratings don't really mean anything, not anymore.. This years game is a lot determined by animations, it was always like that with 2k; but 2k20 is on a different level of predeterminations of stuff on the court based on what the game wants to happen happens.

I play on allstar and use a modified Schnaidt1 sliders and this plays good.

            CPU
            ball security -1
            Attack the basket - 1

I see 3-4 turnovers a game when the CPU attacks too much in traffic.

I tried that. I put CPU body up sensitivity to 100 just to test things out and they still can just pinball their way to the rim. The problem is the game doesn't punish them for forcing the ball and forcing it in crowds the way they do. No pick up dribble, no bump steal, ect. Only time seems to happen is if you're using an elite defender and even then, they can still bump their way inside most times.

Nba teams average between 12 and 17 tos a game. I rarely get the cpu over 5 tos in a 48 min game. How can you have all these dribble moves with no tos.

The lack of tos when the cpu dribbles directly into you is a terrible gameplay choice by 2k. Immersion killer watching troy daniels and quin cook go bone collector.

Don’t forget just because it’s on Hall of Fame doesn’t mean it’s a more realistic game it’s just a difficulty. All star and superstar is the way to go with adjusting sliders

Turn passing Speed down to 18 to 25 ...allows defenders to play the passing lane. The passes are to Crisp in particular the long passes you thought 50 for passing the receiver has only taken four steps by the time the ball gets there

Yep. Loose balls. Layup animations. Ballhandler interactions. Avoid getting close to cpu, bc the cpu will put you in a losing 2 man animation 90 percent of the time no matter the rating.

Re: CPU always going inside the paint gotta stop smh

So there’s a combination of things but it can be fixed.

I actually play with a higher overall “attack the basket” slider in addition to higher 3pt and look for post sliders.

Increasing “look for post” will make the cpu take a second to see if any post mismatches or post players are calling for the ball.

You also wanna ajdust player’s isolation , play discipline , drive, and finish strong tendencies. Then you can up the “run play” coach slider.

The lower the isolation tendencies the less likely they are to attack. Also if play discipline is high they are less likely to disrupt any set plays.

I can say with 100% certainly think works in 2k19 and previous years. I havent done much with 2k20 yet since I know there’s a lot more being patched

My last post was supposed to say “if you throw a 50 foot pass”. My bad
