    Re: NBA 2K20 MyLeague Thread

MyLeague has always been my thing but I'm just tired of it in it's current state. I've been playing Draft Day Sports Pro Basketball 2020 to satisfy my MyLeague fix.

Having a good time playing MyTeam and NBA Today games though.

      Re: NBA 2K20 MyLeague Thread

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask but here it goes. I enjoy playing season mode in MyLeague because I like keeping my season as realistic as possible to the current NBA season. I do trades and signings as they occur.

My question is if there is anyway to change other teams lineups (starting lineups and minutes)? I recently did all of the trade deadline deals and the Rockets keep insisting on starting Tyson Chandler at center because he is the only true center on the team. I've tried changing the Rockets to a user team and changed their lineup but when I switch them back to a CPU team their roster switches back and my changes are gone.

I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

If there's a player you want to start at center, but isn't a true one, and there's a better true center on the roster, the CPU will start that true one. I've found three ways immediately to counter this:

        A. You switch the player who isn't a true center to be a center in the player edit screen, then edit their stats so their overall is the same as their previous rating. So if the guy was a PF who was a 75 overall, but when switching to C he drops to a 71, bump up some of his attributes to he's a 75 overall (probably post defense/strength). That will put him ahead of the true center.

        B. Go into Tyson Chandler's edit screen and set "Force to Non-Starter" to on (I think the options are 1 season or all-time), which will tell the CPU to NOT start him; note, that if injuries do occur and Chandler is still the last man standing, he still won't be started, but it will force the CPU to play him off the bench (but may play him more minutes than you'd like).

        C. Switch Tucker to C, then switch Chandler to PG (he'll be awful there and never played) or suspend Chandler with an injury (set his injury to "Personal Reasons" and set it for like, 300 days or something) and the CPU will not play him in either case.
        Any comments are welcome.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I am enjoying my rosters and sliders so far -- had a heck of a battle last night against Dominique and the Hawks (won by 4), and then watched Ewing and the Knicks school Shaq (lost by 8, Shaq was in foul trouble all night). Really enjoying the old-school feel of my rosters, so I think I'm gonna pass on 2K20. I'm hoping 2K21 is a big leap forward since new consoles are soon to be here, but if not I'll happily roll with what I got in 2K19.

Thanks for the advise! After I did my post I did try to change PJ Tucker's position to Center but noticed he dropped from I think a 77 to a 73. I could try to do the force not starting option you mentioned because I had never heard of that before. I'll let you know how it goes.

I am thinking about doing a fantasy draft with a very short season and 1 game playoffs. Should be different. I wish there was an option to have like only 8 teams in the league.

                Re: NBA 2K20 MyLeague Thread

I just started season 2 of my franchise starting with 1995-96 rosters, so my league now reflects official 1996-97 rosters plus some minor tweaks (added Len Bias, Reggie Lewis, Hank Gathers, Benji Wilson, etc).

Lots of fun changes happened during this time, too. The '96 draft class is in there, Barkley to the Rockets, Shaq to LA, Jason Kidd to Phoenix, Rod Strickland to Washington, Kenny Anderson to Portland, Larry Johnson & Allan Houston to the Knicks, Jamal Mashburn to Miami, etc.

I balled out in Iverson's debut game... was so much fun playing with Iverson, Derrick Coleman and Stackhouse while playing against the KG/Marbury Wolves.

I dropped 38 with Kobe in his debut too.

This is so much fun! It's crazy using these guys in summer league between seasons, too.

I've picked up 2K20 for cheap and started another long-running MyLeague that I'll be posting about in the legacy section. Last time I did this, when 2K shut down the servers (which caught me by surprise at the time) I lost everything I'd worked on.

To pre-emptively keep this from screwing me this time, is there a way to take my MyLeague save and "save it offline" so I can keep using it after the servers are shut down? I want to protect myself against this when it happens, because I will probably be playing this for more than 2 years.

You can play MyLeague offline as long as you have 3 or fewer rebranded teams. It only becomes an online save if you change aspects of 4 or more teams

                      Thanks. 2 follow ups:
                      1) Does that include any sort of automatic expansion that may happen in MyLeague?

                      2) How can I validate that the save is offline vs online? In 2k16, my save only had 1 custom element: the 92-93 Hornets in place of the modern Hornets. When the servers went down, my save was gone.

                        Re: NBA 2K20 MyLeague Thread

Started a MyLeague with the 2015-2016 Warriors just because I wanted to play with a prime Steph/Klay/Dray combo, not a Warriors fan in the slightest but that was an exciting team to watch.

Season one went well, we finished at 67-15 good for first in the NBA. Giannis won MVP, Ja Morant was ROTY, Dennis Schroder was 6MOTY, Kawhi was DPOY, Bam Adebayo was MIP. We ended up winning the championship against the 76ers 4-0.

                        Our rotation was:

PG: Stephen Curry - Darren Collison
SG: Klay Thompson - Shaun Livingston - Jeremy Lin
SF: Harrison Barnes - Andre Igoudala
PF: Draymond Green - Luc Mbah a Moute - Jonas Jerebko
C: Andrew Bogut - Pau Gasol

                        Steph's stats: 32.2PPG, 4RPG, 9.3APG, 1.7SPG, 51.4/45.4/94.6 splits.
                        Klay's stats: 26.2PPG, 2.6RPG, 4APG, 1.3SPG, 48.7/44.5/87.9 splits.
                        Dray's stats: 13.7PPG, 8.7RPG, 7APG, 1.6SPG, 1.7BPG, 48.4/44.0/66.2 splits.

Heading into the offseason we let Barnes and Bogut go, signed Anthony Davis (!), and drafted C Steven Enoch. We re-signed Luc Mbah a Moute, Collison, Lin, Iggy, Jerebko, and signed Solomon Hill and Tyson Chandler. Our new rotation for the season would be:

PG: Stephen Curry - Darren Collison
SG: Klay Thompson - Jeremy Lin
SF: Andre Igoudala - Solomon Hill
PF: Draymond Green - Luc Mbah a Moute - Kevon Looney
C: Anthony Davis - Tyson Chandler

Right before the All Star Break we traded Jerebko, a 2021 first, and a few seconds for Landry Shamet, he was made our back-up SG and Lin took a hit in minutes (he's been very valuable though, so he still makes the rotation).

We finished the season at 64-18, good for 1st in the league once again. I was very surprised we finished worse this season after adding AD and keeping our core bench, we didn't have any major injuries, Iggy missed a few games though. Anthony Davis won MVP, James Wiseman won ROTY (OKC), R.J. Barrett was 6MOTY, Dray was DPOY, Darius Garland was MIP.

                        Steph's stats: 28.4PPG, 3.6PG, 9.2APG, 1.6SPG, 52.8/45.0/93.4 splits. Once again apart of the 50/45/90 club.

                        AD's stats: 23.1PPG, 14.3RPG, 3.5APG, 1.2SPG, 2.4BPG, 53.7/33.2/88.8 splits.

                        Klay's stats: 23PPG, 2.4RPG, 3.4APG, 1.4SPG, 47.7/44.4/90.1 splits

                        Dray's stats: 11.7/9.8/7.2/1.5/1.9 on 46.2/44.1/71.8 splits

Lin brought 11 points off the bench, Shamet brought 9.5, Collison with 9.1 and 4.2 assists.

We are currently up 2-1 on the first seeded Celtics in the NBA Finals. We defeated the 2nd place Grizzlies led by 91ovr Ja Morant in the WCF 4-3.

I am having a lot of fun with this MyLeague but want to do one with my Lakers. I kind of want to get Kobe on the team too with LeBron but not sure how exactly I want to go about that.

So I have been playing a 76ers franchise with the user created 2015-16 rosters(not the greatest but they do the job). Wanted to rebuild the process sixers a bit differently, ended up getting Dlo, Jaylen Brown and some other pieces (also used the 2k historic classes)

Anyways I was having a blast till I noticed my players aren’t aging? I’m in my 3rd season and D’lo is still 19 while Embiid is 21. Kind of killed the whole franchise for me.... anyway to fix this?
