I haven't played in a while but I have a league leading defensive squad against him in October 2020 MyLeague. I'm not the greatest stick skills guy but I don't suck.



Giannis just dropped 24 first quarter points on my team, mostly in transition. My stick skills or weakness thereof never even mattered.


In the user created roster I am using (most popular one on PSN), he has 60 badges and 8 of them are purple, 23 are gold.

Real Giannis doesn't have as high usage on average as he did in your example box scores. Milwaukee spreads the ball out a lot more than you seem to have. Giannis isn't taking 30+ shots IRL

It depends on the D you play. If you single cover him with no help, he's taking a lot of shots.

I just checked my box score from when I played them. I doubled him a lot as oon as he got the ball down low, and when he dribbled. He attempted 23 FGs and only 5FTs with 6 assists and 4 TOs. He finished 35 possessions. He avgs about 42 finished possessions IRL. Im going off a one game sample, but it really depends how you play him.

Made the mistake of letting Rodman play him straight up instead of Pippen last night. Dude torched me for 30 7 & 9

Just goes to show my complete lack of NBA knowledge of todays game - figuring The Freak as a big would be banging inside instead of running breaks and killing me off the dribble.

Man the game has changed so much.

If you're talking about playing offline against the CPU, there's an easy fix. Increase Body Up Sensitivity, On Ball Defense, and Lateral Quickness. Also, make sure to set the Drive/Inside Contact Shot Frequency sliders to 100 so that the game doesn't ignore nearby defenders when choosing layup/dunk animations. From there, tweak your Shot Success sliders in correlation with the Layup/Jumpshot Defense Strength sliders so that shots/layups you feel should be missed DO miss.

Also, tweak the Movement sliders so that players without the ball are faster than players with the ball. Once you have realistic movement both with and without the ball, a lot of the cheesy issues with gameplay are resolved.

Apart his dominance, he doesn’t deserve quick draw badge (Gold). His shooting mechanics isn’t fast
