Re: Saturday's update. Post Patch onball and help defense are extremely solid

The question is does the CPU allow us to play sim ? Looking at how cheesy the game has gotten after all those patches i think people adapt because they hate losing they rather cheese and win because when i play sim the cpu completely goes berserk and blocks defends drives continuously and makes contested jumpers!

Ive noticed that when i set all my defensive settings the cpu goes a notch higher on contrary to when i dont set any defensive setting at all ...

I havent found the difficulty level to play the cpu and have fun games and enjoy them. Superstar is straight up cheese and all star is too easy.

schnaidt has a slider set which plays better then the default difficulties but it also has it inconsistencies and tweeking that is a major headache ! ..

2k was great out the box can i reset the game to its day one status ??? Anyone know how ?

Delete the game and dont allow updates ?
Am i able to play any online features like rec center if i dont update the game ?

If you have the disc copy just delete the game and reinstall WITH YOUR CONSOLE DISCONNECTED FROM THE INTERNET. You would be playing a version of the game that was released before the day 1 patch. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: As soon as you reconnect to the internet all those patches will re-download but I think you can turn off auto-update (or whatever it's called in your ps4 settings but then you'll have to manually download all patches for your games. AGAIN...SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG. Hope this helps.

For me superstar is too easy an HoF is too hard, and I'm having great games with these sliders/settings:

        82 Games
        12 min QTR
        Injury effect/frequency sliders @45 (for CPU+USER)
        FT Difficulty @65
        Hall-of-Fame Sliders with these changes:
        -CPU Offense Sliders @55-2
-CPU Offense Sliders @50 (no change)
        -USER Offense Sliders @HoF-default
        -CPU Defense Sliders @45+2
-CPU Defense Sliders @50 (no change)
        -USER Defense Sliders @HoF-default
-Fatigue Rate slider @45 (for CPU+USER)
-Shooting foul and Reach-in foul sliders @HoF-default (for USER+CPU)
-All other foul sliders @100 (for CPU+USER)

So you should try these sliders:

        -CPU Offense Sliders @All-star default
        -USER Offense Sliders @Superstar default
        -CPU Defense Sliders @All-star default
        -USER Defense Sliders @Superstar default
        -CPU Attributes Sliders @All-star default
        -USER Attributes Sliders @Superstar default
-Fatigue Rate slider @45 (for CPU+USER)
-Shooting foul and Reach-in foul sliders @Superstar default (for USER+CPU)
-All other foul sliders @100 (for CPU+USER)

If those are still too easy try this:

        Hall-of-Fame Sliders with these changes:
-change CPU Offense Sliders @55 to All-star default
-CPU Offense Sliders @50 (no change)
-change USER Offense Sliders @45 to Superstar default
-USER Offense Sliders @50 (no change)
-change CPU Defense Sliders @45 to All-star default
-CPU Defense Sliders @50 (no change)
-change USER Defense Sliders @55 to Superstar default
-Fatigue Rate slider @45 (for CPU+USER)
-Shooting foul and Reach-in foul sliders @HoF-default (for USER+CPU)
-All other foul sliders @100 (for CPU+USER)

I'll be really happy if they beef up user contests in the paint and nerf the hop step
          Lineup:
          PG) Gary Payton
          SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
          SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
          PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
          C) Hakeem Olajuwon

Absolutely loving the way the game feels defensively now. On ball is amazing and the AI feels improved, too (Unless I'm dreaming)

With that said, when I manage to break down the CPU now and get to the rim with Jordan, there seems to be additional contact bumps preventing him from triggering his signature layups. Several times the animation would start but a rumble on the sticks indicating contact kicked me out of the ani - wasn't happening before the weekend.

Could be just me, but I played 5 games last night and pulled off just one layup from his package - pre weekend patch I was putting on a circus show when I got to the rim.

If this sticks, I'll be one unhappy bunny.

Which settings? I am struggling to find the optimal difficulty/sliders.

Still in the testing phase myself. I've never been one for higher difficulties in this game due to the excess amount of cheating the AI does.

I'm normally perfectly comfortable on Allstar with the right sliders but I haven't quite got there yet.

For me HoF is too hard and Superstar is too easy, so I've created sliders in between HoF and Superstar, and I'm having great games.

These are the sliders/settings I'm using:

                      82 Games
                      12 min QTR
                      Injury effect/frequency sliders @45 (for CPU+USER)

                      -CPU Offense Sliders @55-2
-CPU Offense Sliders @50 (no change)
                      -USER Offense Sliders @HoF-default
                      -CPU Defense Sliders @45+2
-CPU Defense Sliders @50 (no change)
                      -USER Defense Sliders @HoF-default
-Fatigue Rate slider @45 (for CPU+USER)
-Shooting foul and Reach-in foul sliders @HoF-default (for USER+CPU)
-All other foul sliders @100 (for CPU+USER)

If All-star is too easy and Superstar too hard, use these:
