Because I'm clearly pissed when people just throw people under the bus with the "you don't watch him" line. I pulled his game. And yes it's should be where it's at. At most should be a 72 handle. He can get by bigs. But not sf. Yeah they are running invented pick and rolls with PG. Because he causes a mismatch. But he's not doing advance size up and hesi lol

This is why we don't have a ratings thread. People don't know how to talk to each others. They just say. "You suck." Or "you don't watch him". Or "you don't know basketball." That's clearly not the way to debate. Just use your words.

We’re not asking for him to handle the ball like a a guard but something is wrong if OG Anunoby has better playmaking skills than Siakam. If AD and Boogie get 72 ball control then Siakam should at least be 76-80 since attacking from the perimeter and in the open floor is where he scores most of his points. They gotta give him the downhill badge and quick first step at least. On commentary in 2k20, I it’s believe Doris Burke that calls him one of the fastest players in the league yet the game doesn’t represent it.

In my opinion they’re are scared that if they updated his speed, acceleration, and handles it would make his ovr rating too high for their liking unless they dock his intangibles . Same could be said about a lot of other players as well.

What’s odd to me is this was the first MAJOR Ratings update & it also included more player position updates but there is nothing released officially by NBA2K on Twitter or Facebook highlighting the changes.

And that's exactly what I'm talking about. When Giannis got a dribble boost. It took a damn long time. Because clearly putting into the high 70's would cause huge problems for balancing the game. I know Siakam is one of the fastest player in the league. You can find a countless post of people asking for his speed to get boosted. Which was huge last year. His speed with ball rating needs a boost. But his ball handle does not. At most 72-75. All the videos I've seen of him. He's just faster than whoever covering him and then blowing by with simple dribble moves.

The first changes usually go under the radar for the public. It's during the season when big changes to the overall ratings do they bring public attention to the roster. This is an OS favorite of mine. Rating changes and no one cares. Come Dec-Jan. That's when everyone starts coming out of the woodworks about overall ratings. It happens every year lol

Damn...I could have just asked, lol? I was googling like crazy trying to find that website. I used to use the 2kmtcentral website. I see that site, in general, still have some nice in-depth information.

Honestly, it seems like they lost "access" to the NBA 2K "database". When it was working, that site was way too accurate for it to be someone punching the numbers in. When I found the site, I know that I completely stopped taking pictures and comparing them to figure out what ratings went up and down respectively.

There's a huge difference between handling a ball and dribbling the ball. Some bigs (Siakam, Bam, Olynyk, Pau and Marc) are decent with the ball in their hands. They're not gonna break your ankles or anything like that, but they can control the ball enough to do some crafty things. I'm not sure of how that would translate into the different rating categories in 2K. For these types of players, which ratings do you think should impact their ability to not necessarily be a dribble God, but to be able to be crafty with the ball?

Players heights were updated on 2kratings but not the overall ratings, Trae Young still 85 OVR.

Honestly, it seems like they lost "access" to the NBA 2K "database". When it was working, that site was way too accurate for it to be someone punching the numbers in. When I found the site, I know that I completely stopped taking pictures and comparing them to figure out what ratings went up and down respectively.

It was probably 2K16. They had a special type of card in MyTeam called Dynamic Ratings. Those cards had the same stats as the cards in the official roster, so whenever the official roster was updated those cards ratings were updated as well.
